I'd buy this if I wasn't so angry Legion were relegated to back ups when their book was well away from the cancellation line Blue Beetle and Manhunter set. Its the principle of the matter, I will not give DC my money to support Kon as the main feature even if he's a good enough character. I'll be waiting for the trade of the legion back ups in two years time.

Anyone think the Manapul art in the printed preview looked muddy and dull. It looked better online.

	L3W was also marketed as a Final Crisis tie-in, so that still might've effected its sales. And where I might hesitate if not avoid a book Johns write, he apparently draws some readers, so that could've given a heavy percentage, too, along with Kon and Bart fans excited to see them back. I didn't care about either of the reboot Legions myself. The kids legion never did anything for me(but it was meant for teenagers, not me, and too many mullets, which is to say any), and I found the 3boot version annoying, an example of the not-as-hip-as-he-thinks Waid updating them in a way that he thought kids liked. Reading it reminded me of Superman-meets-hippies stories: it's the kind of updating that instantly dates, like the Supermullet. Shooter coming back didn't help.(and the whole teens-versus-adults thing--I thought it was stupid, and how long can you keep that up?) Although the matter of Tinya Wazzo's peculiar relationship problems was interesting.

The thing is, the original Legion doesn't seem to date as much as the other two. And I was happy to see them back.

I'm not saying all the readers would go over to a legion book. I don't think LO3W would have sustained sales the way it did if it was just because of the final crisis dress especially since it was over a year since final crisis started. The first issue also started well when there was no hint connor would be back and sustained throughout. I think that having a book that was widely considered not to be at its best reach its level far away from cancellation only to cancel it, follow it up with a big mini and then practically nothing but origin stories is a total waste. No matter how much Geoff Johns says they will be important in the next two years its not comforting because all it means is that they will be important supporting characters and no supporting character is that important. It also doesn't change what Dan Didio said, when asked how long until legion gets its book back he said it could be a year it could be forever. If this was the case then why cancel the threeboot who were holding their own book and piss off Jim Shooter while doing it.
