Batman: Battle for the Cowl #3

So, why did Jason go crazy?

Later...

Same here.

On the plus side, though, there's about as much chance of Jason being dead based on this scene as there is of it suddenly raining gumdrops or something like that, and- well, the whole "secret" thing was really stupid, but there's at least some potential for a good writer to fix Jason's character after this, so it's a net gain for the Jay-fans, stupid as the rest was.

I make me sad, too. If people stopped crapping him over, Jason would be just fine. But they refuse to. Alas.

...

Seriously, can we off Damien now?

But...I like Damian for all his Scrappy-Doo appeal. He makes me laugh

If Scrappy bit off heads he'd basically be Damian.

I'm going to have to agree with you there. Still- every character in existence has had runs of bad writing. Jason was just unfortunate enough to get stuck with one so soon after his resurrection.

"Seriously, can we off Damien now?"

You know, I was relatively indifferent to Damien at first, but now, I kind of like him. Not because of anything canon's done with him, mind, but because I don't really think he deserves the hate he gets- yeah, sure he's a spoiled brat, but do keep in mind his background. Kid's annoying, but his whole life, he's been told that he will succeed Batman and has been brainwashed to be an assassin. Kid needs deprogramming, sure, but he's hardly an irredeemable character.

He just needs some serious Sesame Street therapy....

Meh. His very existence does fairly heinous things to Talia, and really, Bruce as well, so even if he *weren't* an obnoxious little pissant in and of himself, it'd be hard for me to cut him any slack. As is, I'm not inclined to even try.
