Black Cat brings us...the Batgirl Corps!

Bette, Babs, Cass and Steph in a happy picture, yay!

And for legality a special someone stalking watching Robin in Gotham Underground #2.

Of course to this day I can't quite make sense of Spoiler and her actions in Gotham Underground, aside from confusing the shit out of me. I honestly think DC was trying to make a new Spoiler before they decided to "revive" Steph in Robin.

I used to want Steph's eyes to be brown - when was the last time we saw a brown-eyed blond in comics? Or, like, any brown-eyed white people at all? It's not like it doesn't happen in real life, but even Helena's been bleached to blue these days - but I have to say, the Noto covers where she's got that lavender thing going really sell me on her being so-blue-she's-purple. She could be like Bart and just have a totally inexplicable eye color for no real reason other than it matches her costume.

Makes me wonder if we'll ever find out what Steph is ethnically. Her dad's white but her mom's varied so much she could be half of almost anything. And yeah, I'm sure someone will soon draw her eyes lavender like that cover and she'll start having lavender eyes all the time, which isn't the worst thing.

Her mom could be an alien :)

Joking aside, having one of the DC young blonde superheroines be green eyed or brown eyed (especially brown eyed - less chances of the next artist switching to blue again) would be really great. Or how about hazel, amber, mixed? They probably think that lighter colors show better in comics, as far as eyes go but the uniformity of young blue eyed blondes is gettng a bit too much.

This might not count because a) he's a dude, b) it's been ages and c) he's not a natural blonde, but...

Ben Reilly was a brown-eyed blonde. In fact, blue eyes in general seem to be pretty rare. Spider-Man's the only brown-eyed superhero I can think of off the top of my head. And even that varies depending on the artist (or medium, with Tobey's blues).

Heh, I was actually thinking about purple eyes for a little bit the other night. It's not entirely inexplicable and would rather suit her.

I've thought about this before and changed a blond character of mine to being brown-eyed because of it. It's easy when you typically work in black and white and the guy where's opaquely-drawn glasses anyway.
