Black Cat brings us...the Batgirl Corps!

Bette, Babs, Cass and Steph in a happy picture, yay!

And for legality a special someone stalking watching Robin in Gotham Underground #2.

Of course to this day I can't quite make sense of Spoiler and her actions in Gotham Underground, aside from confusing the shit out of me. I honestly think DC was trying to make a new Spoiler before they decided to "revive" Steph in Robin.

I don't think you needed the image for legality (especially for Black_Cat stuf), but still cool.

Ok, gang, what is the Oath for the Batgirl Corps?

I think you need legality as long as its not a comic, this is more of a pinup than an actual story from her, thus I put legality in case.

No gunshot would or assassin dad,
Will make me quit or turn me bad.
I'll keep on fighting, keep kicking ass,
With spunky spirit and smart talk sass.

At least that's what it would be if I wrote Batgirl.

How 'bout this?

"Come dark hour when
dark fate befalls -
it shan't deter
us brave daredolls!
We laugh at fate
and blow a kiss -
now crooks, now knaves,
taste Batgirl's fists!"

OK, so 'dominoed' wouldn't fit, but I did my best.

Nice one, and bonus points for using "knaves", a word that doesn't get enough use these days, despite there being many examples of them around.

That should be "We brave daredolls" though, I always imagine Babs being VERY picky about grammar, what with being a librarian and programmer. :)

Ooo, can I play?

"We are the women who dress up like bats,
Back into Gotham from Platinum Flats.
After the earthquake, we sifted the rubble.
We don't need reading, we're magnets for trouble.
Fell in with assassins, but you can still trust us.
Thirsty for Zesti! No, wait, I mean justice!
Kicking us out? Go ahead, it's okay...
'Cause we're taking over the cave one day!"

Black Cat did say she felt bad about that though Helena would be hard to show off given her outfit is Cass' too. And Charlie probably wasn't Batgirl long enough to count though Black Cat just said there wasn't enough room.

I think DC still counts Charlie as a Batgirl because she debuted as the mysterious new Batgirl.

Well I meant long enough to count as a real Batgirl much like how Helena seemed only to be the Batgirl long enough for Cass to become one. Or Steph the Robin until Tim came back. (Or that's how DC generally sees it anyway)

But yeah, Blackcat just said she didn't have enough room.

Technicalities! (I know what you mean though)

Kinda reminds me when on E-2 Robin and Huntress were discussing what would happen to Batman now that Bruce died and Dick going

"What, you want to be Batman?" or somesuch.

Granted if a Female became Batman it'd probably just make sense to just call themselves The Bat!

With Hel, they kinda did - her first scene interacting with people as Batman, the kids were like "wait, you're the Bat? The Bat's a girl?" sort of thing.

Babs has blue or green eyes depending on the artist. I prefer her with green. Too many blue eyed peoples. (I want Steph to have green eyes too...but that's just me...)

I used to want Steph's eyes to be brown - when was the last time we saw a brown-eyed blond in comics? Or, like, any brown-eyed white people at all? It's not like it doesn't happen in real life, but even Helena's been bleached to blue these days - but I have to say, the Noto covers where she's got that lavender thing going really sell me on her being so-blue-she's-purple. She could be like Bart and just have a totally inexplicable eye color for no real reason other than it matches her costume.

Makes me wonder if we'll ever find out what Steph is ethnically. Her dad's white but her mom's varied so much she could be half of almost anything. And yeah, I'm sure someone will soon draw her eyes lavender like that cover and she'll start having lavender eyes all the time, which isn't the worst thing.

Her mom could be an alien :)

Joking aside, having one of the DC young blonde superheroines be green eyed or brown eyed (especially brown eyed - less chances of the next artist switching to blue again) would be really great. Or how about hazel, amber, mixed? They probably think that lighter colors show better in comics, as far as eyes go but the uniformity of young blue eyed blondes is gettng a bit too much.

This might not count because a) he's a dude, b) it's been ages and c) he's not a natural blonde, but...

Ben Reilly was a brown-eyed blonde. In fact, blue eyes in general seem to be pretty rare. Spider-Man's the only brown-eyed superhero I can think of off the top of my head. And even that varies depending on the artist (or medium, with Tobey's blues).

I've thought about this before and changed a blond character of mine to being brown-eyed because of it. It's easy when you typically work in black and white and the guy where's opaquely-drawn glasses anyway.

But green-eyed red heads are just as cliched as blue eyed blondes- with the significant difference that I've actually met people with blonde hair and blue eyes, but never someone with red hair and green. It's not a common combination.

I'd love to see someone with brown or hazel eyes, though.
