I need to go for a walk or I'm going to go completely insane.

Ned? Get out of the kitchen and come take a walk with me. It's winter. Coats and hats and scarves and gloves!

Is it weird to feel like this is a little normal? People with jobs, going to school... except most of the people you know are gone, or missing, or dead, or zombies. I don't know how I feel about this. I don't like feeling trapped, and that's just how I feel.

I set up our usual modifications to avoid accidental touching. I fed Digby and gave him lots of pets. He's happy. I think he misses Olive. I miss Olive. We should never have left assuming the worst, we should have kept looking.

Wonder where my dad is. I'm worried some zombie-hunter is going to mistake him for one of them.

I don't think I would be handling this change of scene nearly as well as I have been if it weren't for pie. I think I'm going to be fat.

So...This is a zombie safe zone huh? Thrilling, really. I'm Sam. I'm new. And I'm apparently on the zombie squad.

Well, thank God. I thought for a while there I was going to be eaten by zombies. I'm very comfortable with not being eaten. You would think that would be a given, but you never know these days! So it seems I've made it and that's pleasant. And now I'm a teacher! Also pleasant.
