Game 129
Who: Everyone
Where: The Arena
When: Day 211, early evening
What:

[The Call to the Arena today is the simple sound of hammer on metal. Rhythmic, tireless it's almost a marching tune to those who happened to hear and follow it.

When you enter the Arena bare land quickly gives way to hot winds and an uphill slope of loose, fine sand. Your upward trudge isn't easy, with sand being the horrible, contrary thing it is when you're intent on getting ANYWHERE.

As you top the dune, you see a giant statue sitting on the thrones, leaning forward on his elbows and with a huge, jovial grin. At his feet, there is a large, spanning lake with a tropical island in the center... between you and the lake though, there are eight paths.]

HA! WARMED UP, KIDDOES?

[UNSURE. IT IS PROBABLY NOT OKAY REALLY. BUT JUST NODS AND GOES ALONG WITH IT.]

...What if she can't write? Dagger can't.

*SEEMS TOTALLY OKAY WITH IT AT LEAST...?*

If you have someone who doesn't mind having their bracers down, they can teach her, if you want to keep it in the team. I can try myself, and I might be able to speed up the process a bit. The Judges seem to have generally given us the ability to speak and write the same language if we could speak or write anything to begin with, so it might not be something you have to worry about.

[NO, I AM A TERRIBLE PERSON. I SHOULDN'T EVEN EXIST, YOU HAVE NO IDEA.]

It's... bad, that I want to stop her from communicating... her way. With me. But.

*YOU ARE TOO ADORABLE NOT TO EXIST, HEY >:*

It sounds like you've had some bad experiences with telepaths, though, so it's understandable. If it helps, she might not be able to see anything when she talks to you; I know Poppy can't, when he's a wolf. But if it can't be helped, then you'll both do the best you can.

She ...told me to calm my mind. And told me I could delude myself if I wanted. So she can probably see some things.

Then you should probably just tell her that because of some things you remembered, it's uncomfortable to make mental contact. And we'll work on getting her some way to communicate.

*socute*

I'm going to get her started with the basics of writing a language we can understand; Rory's worked out a trade, so it should be fine. Maybe she can teach the rest of you how her written language works.
