SOmething else I've been thinking about. The participation is down a bit more the last couple of Rounds. Would it be more beneficial to everyone if we started doing every two months instead of every other month? One of the other mods pointed out that the every other month kept it falling on other busy times. Especially for students.

If we go every two months, the schedule would be as follows: January, April, July, October. Leave a comment here on your feelings about shifting it to allow that extra month.

I wait for someone to write one of my prompts, otherwise I would have responded to another person's prompt by now. I learned it after I wrote a lot in one community and got nothing back. Nobody has done one of mine yet.

I'm sort of exactly the opposite, actually-- I find that there haven't been a lot of prompts that really grabbed me, or I would have written more.

I know this isn't really the issue at hand, but most of the prompts seem very, very vague, to the point where (to me) they don't really leap out immediately suggest a fic, to me.

As for the actual issue-- I like it just the way it is, but either way won't stop me from writing for it, when I can find prompts in the tiny little fandoms I know.

PS-- Whoever left Dragon Age prompts, if you'd suggest some prompts without the Grey Warden, or more with the mage Grey Warden, I would write you a millionty of them! <3!

I think mine is the content. Most of mine are extreme. I thought I had one or two at least that would get interest. Being too vague or too specific can be a problem.

I sent in the Dragon Age ones, so I will keep what you said in mind next battle! I tend to err on the side of vagueness for prompts because I don't want the writer to get stuck, but if they're not getting hooked either that's definitely a problem.

Obviously, this is only one person's opinion, but, I LOVE more specific prompts, in general, particularly for shorter length fic. For longer stuff, it really depends, but for something short, if the prompt doesn't IMMEDIATELY suggest a situation for me, I'm unlikely to pick it, since the length doesn't leave a whole lot of time to set things up.
