Oh, hey there. I'm the new guy in D1. And I actually had a question.

Does anyone know what Pax Letale's policy on pets is?

I guess I should make a better introduction than that.

I'm Luc Haust. I'm 27, an Aquarius, and a professional songwriter. I was born in Reno, Nevada and spent ten years on Lake Tahoe, but then my parents moved to Los Angeles and I've spent the good majority of my life there. I lived in Las Vegas for awhile, but that was kind of just a really extended vacation. I was a dancer in the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company for awhile, but that was when I was younger and much more flexible. Hahaha. I still dance, but now it's just for fun.

I lost the love of my life to illness about six months ago. I guess that's why I moved here, because our old place just had too many memories of that.

I like to cook (mostly because I like to eat), I like throwing parties, I love going out, and I like my whiskey neat. For those who aren't familiar with that terminology, it's just a bar term for straight-up. I like my friends neat too. On both levels. I am also a living cliche for saying that I like long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners too, but it wouldn't be a cliche if there weren't people who enjoyed those kind of things.

I'm really bad at this whole thing, so I'd better go before my foot leaps into my mouth. I'll be home for the next couple days getting settled in, so if anyone wants to come help me unpack - well, I'd offer to pay you but that makes it seem like a bribe. Haha. Though I'm not opposed to bribes (I happen to enjoy being bribed, but that could just be me), and I have quite an extensive collection of alcohol and stuff to smoke if anyone is so inclined.

I did not just do that. Jesus H.

Luc.

OH, AND PS: The rumors are true, I will be throwing a moving-in party - though it will technically be a moved-in party, because I can't exactly have a party in my apartment with how it looks right now. But soon. And you are all invited, should you choose to attend. But, believe me, it'll be worth it if you do..

Welcome to the area!! I'm Lily Castle and if you need anything let me know! I love to cook as well, we should trade recipes at some point. It's sweet of you to announce a moved in party, I would be happy to attend so long as I'm free, whenever the day the party is!

And I'm very sorry for your recent loss.

Thank you! It's lovely to meet you, Ms. Castle. And I would love to trade recipes, but I will say that most of them are in my head - and my greatest work is improvised. But if you have a free evening one day, I'd love to share the kitchen with you. We can each make our favorite dish.

Hopefully it will be within the next week. Or two. It's very high on my to-do list to get everything unpacked, but with how long everything has been in storage since I sold my house.. well, I'd forgotten just how much crap I've accumulated over the years. Haha. So I'll be sure to let you know.

And thank you. That means more than you know.

You can just call me Lily! You know, that sounds like a wonderful idea! I rarely get to cook with anyone else. It would be great to share the kitchen with you. Maybe once you're all settled in we can do this.

Moving has a tendency to cause you to downgrade considerably with what you already own, at least that's been my experience with my moves.

You're welcome. Death is always extremely hard to handle. I understand. If you need anything... I'm in 605. I would be happy to provide a listening ear.

It's been so long since I've cooked for anyone - let alone with anyone - that I am definitely looking forward to it immensely.

I will definitely be sending some stuff back to storage, but I got it all out just to take inventory again and see what I can fit in this new place. But most of it I won't be able to get rid of. Too much sentiment attached to it.

Thank you again. I may come by one day if I get sick of unpacking. We don't necessarily need to talk about that, but it's nice to know we can. And I'm sure we will be able to find no shortage of other things to discuss, haha.

Well then, Luc, we'll have to change that. The moment you're comfortable with having me over to cook with you- or you're always welcome to come to my apartment to cook- I'll be there. Or, if you wanted to have some fun and take a break from unpacking.

I'll be here whether you want to talk about that particular subject or not, the offer will stand. And I agree, I think you and I could surely find an assortment of topics to talk about.
