I do wish we had horses here. This island is bigger than it looks and having to walk all around it is tiresome. If I could ride, it would be so much more efficient.

Anyhow, several days ago, I went around to gather some supplies that I thought might liven up the bland tea that we have. I've dried it all in the sun and sewed it into little tea bags. The results were not bad, if I do say so myself. I've made mint, ginger, lemon and lavender, so if you'd like to try some, let me know and I will give you a few bags.

I see you were successful with your tea brewing, Lady Crawley.

Indeed! How have you been settling in Mr. Bridgerton?

I'm glad to hear it.

Would you be opposed to joining me for tea someday? Believe it or not, you are one of the few people who is from a time even remotely close to my own and I should enjoy continuing to speak with you.

Tea sounds wonderful. Though, I have to ask, when there's tea - any chance there will be biscuits as well?

It grows sporadically, but I recognized the flowers when I was out walking and picked some. I've been using it to help me sleep since I've been pregnant and kind of uncomfortable and don't have much left, or I would give you some.

It's no problem. The next time I go out I will search for some and will give some to you as well.

I don't believe we've met. Lady Mary Crawley.

I'd like to try some of the lavender tea for myself but I have a proposition for you. Ginger tea is very helpful for morning sickness and if you could make some that we could keep in the medical center for those who need it, that would be lovely.

Oh, yes, I can certainly do that. I hadn't realized it helped ease morning sickness.

It does. I had always heard that and we have a book of herbal remedies here. I believe both Chloe and Bri tried it when they had morning sickness and it worked so I thought it wouldn't hurt to have some on hand.

How interesting. I wish I had known that when I was pregnant with my son. That is one of the things I least look forward to with a pregnancy.

I was lucky. I haven't been sick. Now I didn't have an appetite for the first few weeks but at least I wasn't throwing up.

I only saw horses in books and the media we had on the Ark. They always looked so beautiful. I imagine in real life they are stunning.

I'd like to try the tea, if it's okay. This place has so many new experiences and I'd like to try as many as I can.

The Ark?

Which tea in particular or would you like a sampler of all of them?

A space station that housed what remained of the Earth population following the nuclear disaster.

A sample of all? I've only tasted black tea.

... Oh. Well, that is far different from what I am used to.

Of course. These are all technically black teas, they just have different flavourings.

Maybe that's something we could make. I don't know how exactly, but I'm good at making things with rope, and we have animal skins so someone could probably make leather.

Perhaps... They are usually made of leather. You are rather creative with such things.

I'm grew up in a poor fishing family so we learned to be very creative with rope. Plus I've been here since the beginning, back when things were much more primitive and we had to get used to improvising.

I don't think I ever introduced myself. I'm Finnick.
