TIME UPDATE

July 7th, 2013.
Sunday.

Weather Report: The rain begins to let up little by little starting at 10 in the morning, and finally stops entirely in the late evening.

Staff Briefings: Miguel will be checking in today.

Daily Events: The power comes back at about 10:30 in the morning, and though that may seem early enough, the few hours between sunrise and 10:30 are absolutely miserable. Every guest room will feel like a sauna, and other places will only feel better by a couple degrees. Expect a lot of bad tempers in the morning!

Once the power comes back on someone apparently lets the activities director from hell out of her box, because she decides everyone needs fun to make up for a terrible morning. She's trying to organize an indoor Hawaiian luau in the ballroom, and holy crap is that not going well for her.

Who: Daniel
When: about 10:30 AM
Where: Lobby

Three days. Daniel had been here for three days and it had felt like no time had passed. Then again, he'd been sleeping for most of it, recovering from the gunshot wound in his shoulder. He'd messed up with Ashling and had been quiet since their conversation over breakfast, worried that she'd ask him more questions and he'd screw up even more.

He couldn't keep his story straight with her, so he resolved to keep it straight with everyone else. His brother and he had stopped to help someone at the side of the road who had shot at them and tried to rob them. It was a set up.

It worked. He was worried, though. He still had money and the stash in the car. He had gone outside into the sweltering heat to get his bags, including both of the things he'd been worried about losing, and he looked at the scattered bullet holes in his car and the blood coating his seat with a twinge of guilt. Was his brother alive?

The bag was heavy and he shouldered it, wincing as he walked back into the lobby of the hotel. He'd gotten his key earlier, and now it was just time to take the cash and stash up to his room. If only it wasn't so damn heavy.
