WHO. Seth & Justice
WHERE. Morningstar
WHEN. Late Morning / Brunch

Seth stared at the table in front of him, at the plate of food he'd ordered, before he leaned back. What was this place? He'd been to plenty of four star resorts in his time. This one took the cake. Everything was free. At first, he'd wondered if there was going to be a clever time share presentation included somewhere.

But then, the realization crept up onto him with horror. He stared down at the yellow eggs, the slice of wheat toast. The half-drank glass of coffee. He picked up the coffee cup, stared at it for a moment before he drained the bitter black liquid back, and then threw the mug down against the floor.

It shattered in a satisfying way and he stared at it, feeling his heart start to race. He was trapped. They were all trapped here. He couldn't leave. If he walked outside the door, if he tried to leave, he was certain that somehow, someway, he would end up right back here. His jaw clenched, he waited to see if anyone would react to his outburst.

He was calm on the outside, but inside, that panic tightened like a knot.

WHO. Daniel & Ashling
WHERE. Infirmary
WHEN. Early Morning

Daniel was muttering in his sleep. He didn't, not generally, but the pain medication he'd gotten was making him sleep deeply, a dreamless state. He didn't mind. Nightmares would have only made matters worse, so when he cracked his eyes and came to, his head was throbbing from the medication and his mouth was dry. He made the mistake of trying to reach with his injured arm first and he gasped, resting it down for a moment as the pain zipped through him like cracks in a glass. Deep breathing calmed the pain down and he reached, this time with a little less pain, with his good arm and lifted the glass to his lips as he sat up.

This was going to be a pain. Literal and otherwise. He looked around, swallowing back the water with a wince.

"Hello? Is anyone around? Ashling?" he remembered that the odd name belonged to the woman with fiery hair that had helped him at first and he wondered if she was still here.

Who: Charlie and Jai
When: Mid-morning
Where: Their apartment

Jai had been a little more stressed out than usual as of late, even in this place. Since coming to the hotel there was always a bit of tension lingering in the back of his mind. The encounter with Christine and Finley only brought it all to the surface. Today was his first day off since it had all gone down, and aside from Nan's walks, he was spending it by being as lazy as possible. At that moment he was sprawled out on the living room couch, half-heartedly strumming on his guitar. He'd plunked down in that spot after Nan's last walk and dozed a little, and hadn't budged much since waking up. Oh yeah, he'd definitely needed this.

It eventually occurred to him that he could hear Charlie moving around in another room. "Oi," he called. "Aren't you off tomorrow? I'd've thought you'd be out half-drunk by now." Sometimes it still bugged Jai that he couldn't unwind with a couple of beers like everybody else, but he'd tried it in the past. His meds, not to mention mental state, had not thanked him for it at all.
