IC/OOC: The British and Irish Quidditch League Quarterly Commissioners' Meeting: Jan 30, 2018
Because of the size of the crowd, the BIQL Commissioners' Meeting had been moved to the first floor meeting room. It was drafty, and cold, and only barely suitable, but it was large enough for everyone who wanted to see the meeting to be allowed in.

In addition to all the regulars, Fraser noted the attendance of several people he'd identified as team management from other districts.

The meeting began and Fraser let the beuraucratic niceties flow around him. The roll was taken, a quorum was present. The minutes were read and approved. The agenda was discussed and approved. The January meeting was normally quiet, because nothing much was ever done mid-season, but this one looked exciting, or it looked exciting enough to draw a crowd. In addition to the usual quidditch press, there were some international reporters present.

Whatever they did, it was going to be noticed.

The room erupts.

Almost everyone is on their feet, some people are running out and more are coming in. There are probably as many apparations out as there are in, and Hamish Macfarlane nearly breaks his gavel calling for order. "I will clear this room if order is not restored!" He puts his wand on the table in front of him and it bounces up and down with every gavel strike and it's not clear if he'll order people our or just jinx them himself.

Eventually the room quiets down. "Thank you, mr. Finch-Fletchley. It is an ... interesting proposal but as it's a vio--"

He stops as Yasmin Najafi has stood up.

"Mister Chairman, I thank Mr. Finch-Fletchley for his proposal and suggest that since the department is re-organizing in the light of the recent Scottish referendum, and this matter directly touches on Scotland, that the matter will necessarily need to wait for his or her oversight."

She turns to Justin, "with your permission, and my assurance that it will not prejudice your request, I ask that we table it until the next quarterly meeting."

The room erupts again.

Once Hamish has gaveled his was to silence, he says "the motion is tabled."

	Justin nods in acceptance and waits until MacFarlane tables the motion before sitting back a little dazed and possibly green around the edges. He wrote this beforehand and practiced speaking aloud, but didn’t exactly prepare for what came after the speaking part. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Justin was about to say something, but the world took that moment to swim in front of his eyes. So he shook his head “no” but that wasn’t a very good idea, either. He shivers, though he suddenly feels very warm, and attempts to undo the top two button of his shirt with some difficulty. He finally gets the first one undone when he loses conciousness, slumping forward and sliding out of his seat.

	Augustus was watching the colour change on Justin's face and seeing the obvious symptoms. Of course, he didn't react fast enough as Justin slumped forward. Augustus tried to catch him before he could slide completely out of his seat. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Monte is on his feet and grabbing Justin around his shoulders from the front so fast that his chair clatters to the floor unheeded, and he's practically a blur of movement. He looks from Justin's slack face to Auggie, slowly easing his boyfriend back into his seat. "What do we do?" he asks the healer, and is honestly shocked at how steady his voice is. "Justin? Can you hear me?"

"Here, help me lay him down," Augustus said when Monte came forward to grab Justin. "Get him on his back," he said and quickly moved in front so he could examine him. Breathing seemed fine. He tapped at Justin's shoulder to see if he was already ready to wake up. "He has to stay on his back for a few minutes to let his blood start flowing again. He should come to soon."

	Justin probably wasn't unconscious for more than fifteen or twenty seconds but when he blinked open his eyes he was not where he remembered being. Three heads poked over him. Two he knew. "You fainted but you'll be fine. Just stay still," Augustus said and he sat up to go over and grab her go to Healer bag. He took out a bottle of water, and a granola bar. "Now... don't get up too quickly. Monte, you can help him back to his seat. But if you feel dizzy stay there. Once you're ready you can eat and drink some water. Also, Hi. Healer Augustus Pye, by the way."

	Monte offers Ernie a grim smile, amused despite the situation, but infinitely relieved when Justin starts to come around. He also shoots Auggie a grateful look, and carefully puts his hands behind Justin's shoulder and the back of his neck. "Nice and slow, okay? Justin flaps a hand in Ernie's general direction. Because the Commission can stay broken as far as he was concerned. Especially Hamish Macfarlan.

He pushes himself into a sitting position rather than take his seat. "Hi." He nodded to August Pye, things still fuzzy around around the edges. Holding out his hand for the water, he sips it slowly as instructed.

"So I passed out."

	As Augustus is not a Quidditch fan, nor is he Scottish, the Banchory thing was quite lost on him. He handed Justin the water bottle, and he also put a granola bar in his hand. 	Going into a crouch, Monte offers Justin his hand to help him stand. "We can get you there, sure. Ernie, do you mind helping him? I'll- ah- check in you later, if you'd like?" Justin rolled his eyes. "Ernie, meet Monte, my boyfriend. Monte, meet Ernie, my best friend and almost-brother." It didn't matter if they had met one another before, this was the simplest way to get his point across.

He knew they were attracting attention and it was not attention he wanted right now. "And if both of you could not tell me mother about this, that'd be great."

	There is a deeper part of him- the one far past the level that feels like a bit of an idiot right now- that calms as Justin clarifies things in his sarcastic way. Monte even shoots Ernie an apologetic look. "Never will, even with Veritaserum." (Reply to this) (Parent)

To say that Monte is surprised by Justin's announcement and the subsequent uproar would be an understatement, but he attempts to take it in stride, only offering Justin a supportive smile once he came back to his seat. He hadn't reacted to the statement in the first place, honestly because he wasn't even sure how to feel about it. He wants to reach out, to take Justin's hand- even moves to do so- but he notices Auggie approaching and re-thinks the action.

One thing he can settle on: he's immensely proud of his boyfriend right now.
