IC/OOC: The British and Irish Quidditch League Quarterly Commissioners' Meeting: Jan 30, 2018
Because of the size of the crowd, the BIQL Commissioners' Meeting had been moved to the first floor meeting room. It was drafty, and cold, and only barely suitable, but it was large enough for everyone who wanted to see the meeting to be allowed in.

In addition to all the regulars, Fraser noted the attendance of several people he'd identified as team management from other districts.

The meeting began and Fraser let the beuraucratic niceties flow around him. The roll was taken, a quorum was present. The minutes were read and approved. The agenda was discussed and approved. The January meeting was normally quiet, because nothing much was ever done mid-season, but this one looked exciting, or it looked exciting enough to draw a crowd. In addition to the usual quidditch press, there were some international reporters present.

Whatever they did, it was going to be noticed.

Jason has once more rallied a muggleborn/pink cohort for the night. He is wearing his new "The only thing I steal is quaffles" neon pink t-shirt with a jacket (to dress it up). He is eager to hear what happens with the BIL motion about the war season and also see what other plans are in action. He may have a few comments to share, and will certainly play politic with ease to anyone who approaches.

	Monte, of course, was sitting with Justin, but he'd go and say hi to the other as time permits. He's sporting a pink jumper with shapes that look suspiciously like Quaffles all over it. Maggie might be proud. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Jason is intrigued about this idea. Luckily he has been reading about political movements, especially in relationship to sports history for most of this past year now. "The Americans did a similar thing in baseball when Roger Maris broke Babe Ruth's home run record. They use the asterisk to denote less than official records. In that case it was a discrepancy in length of season. Maris had 61 home runs over 162 games, and Ruth had 60 over 154 games."

	Famously eccentric Wanderers coach Archie "Spinner" Ives, for the first time, joined the Muggleborn group at this meeting wearing jeans and a bright pink T-shirt reading "SAVE THE MOONCALVES". 	Sometimes Maddock is pretty surprising and political. He showed up wearing his Muggleborn support pin and he is here to SUPPORT! But also the Quidditch Ranking method is interesting too. Maddock would have gone to see Merc, Archie, Jason and Dawn. Probably took a seat with the quidditch players. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	While Quidditch is not Augustus thing... he comes to the meeting to support the Muggleborn movement. He's out of scrubs and in a shirt, tie and trousers! The shirt is pink. Very professional looking. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Jason returns any sort of formal greeting. While in the past he might not have much need for the owner of Pride of Portree and Whizz Hards Books, he does and can play politics. Especially when connections are what he needs to leverage to impact change.

"Thank you, Mr. Urquhart. It was quite exciting to get back out to the circuit and on a home course too." He smiles, taking a beat to pause and see if this conversation was going to go anywhere else.
