Vala pulled her hair back into her usual pigtailed braids as she stepped into the fountain. The weather had been growing steadily hotter, disproving her theory that their rock wasn't actually going anywhere, and she needed something to break the heat.

After her impromptu water battle with Cam the other day, Vala had been dying to find some sort of pool or something to cool off with. But other than the river that she found whose water dumped somewhere she wasn't willing to find out about just yet, she had struck out.

So armed in her new bikini, Vala jumped into the fountain and let the water splash down on her, finally cooling her off.

[open to any and all and lets go single thread and make it an epic pool/fountain party. Everyone bring your trunks!]

	Vala rolled her eyes and shook her head. It was at least half Daniel's fault for bringing the Ori to their galaxy. Or really, mostly his fault as he was the one that did all of the talking. 	Cam got the reference, and laughed. He'd heard it way, way too many times by now. That was a side effect of living in the state. "I'm from Kansas too. Auburn? Little town outside of Topeka. Dean's eyebrow rose. He'd been to Auburn, few years back. There had been a poltergeist--nasty little bitch, too. "I know Auburn," he said. "Originally from Lawrence, though."

Active duty. "Which branch?"

John Winchester was a Marine. If Cam also knew all about ghosts, vampires, and walking corpses, Dean was going to retire, get fat, and spend a lot more time on bustyasianbeauties.com. Because clearly, the universe had made more than enough people like him.

	Vala sat down on the edge of the fountain, sitting so her feet were still in the water, and watched the two men talk. "Where is Kansas?" Cam shrugged. "Not too far away. In the same country, at least."

He wasn't sure exactly how Vala would judge distance, seeing that she spent most of her time traveling through various parts of the universe. He figured to her, anywhere on the same planet must not seem all that far away.

Cam took a seat on the edge of the fountain too, beside Vala. He was damp from where the water misted over them, but not as wet as Vala or Dean. It still felt nice, though.

	Dean shrugged. Alright. So... not answering questions then. Whatever. He was really only being polite. "It's one of the ones in the middle," he said. "People from the states call those places 'fly over states.' Because that's what most people do--fly over 'em to get somewhere else."
