Sunday Dinner!

So, as stated earlier this week, Wanda is going to be making an effort to organize Sunday dinners for everyone as an attempt to get to know each other, and as a way to bond. Though she is handling most of the cooking for this week, future weeks will be done in a potluck style. The menu for this week is mostly Eastern European style dishes, though there's other dishes made by either others who helped Wanda out with the cooking, and she made sure to have some basic things for picky eaters, like chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.

Dinner will be served starting at 5 PM. Wanda has been cooking most of the day in the kitchen. Food will be set up on a table in the dining room buffet style under warmers so people can help themselves. The table is set and there are plenty of drinks for people to choose from. Wanda has also set up to-go containers with the plates in case anyone has to just make a plate and run. Desert and coffee will also be set up on a side table for when people are done with their meals.

The menu is as follows:

STARTERS:

  • Cesar Salad
  • Borscht
  • Cheddar and potato perogies
  • Makowiec
  • Deruny
  • There are cheese and crackers, and some chips and dips for pickier eaters, as well.

    • MAIN COURSES:

  • Lamb Peka
  • Goulash
  • Moussaka
  • Gołąbki
  • Wiener Schnitzel
  • There is also chicken nuggets and mac and cheese for pickier eaters.

    • DESERT

  • Papanasi
  • Sweet bread
  • Somlói Galuska
  • Palačinky
  • There are also cookies and ice cream for any picky eaters.

    • Feel free to post interactions and such below! I will be posting comment sub threads for interactions before the dinner, during, and after!

    I will be trying to post of those of these every week, but the menu will be different, as after this week, the dinners will fall into more of a potluck style where people will be encouraged to make their own dishes to participate. For the initial first dinner, Wanda just wants to make everyone feel welcome by preparing most of the meal herself.

    There also links to all recipes in case you're like me and like cooking new things!

    So, BB-8 has decided that he's going to check out the compound! He's rolling around wherever he can, snooping around, and maybe getting into a little trouble.

    Do you want to bump into him? What do you do when you see him?

    Later in the afternoon, Rey's going to notice that he's gone missing. Who wants to try and catch him and return him to Poe or Rey?

    [Since Bruce Banner guessed the answer to the riddle, the power has shut off!
    Power is off throughout the facility. The network runs off its own independent generator, as does everything in the labs (so portals are still operating fine and people can communicate).

    But, the rest of the place is without lights, entertainment, and the worst of all, the food may spoil.

    Tony will be working on this right away. Power will be restored before midnight!

    In the morning, the whole kitchen smells fantastic. Darcy was clearly up late and very busy last night as there are plates in the kitchen piled high with cookies: Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodles, peanut butter, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies shaped like shot glasses and others.

    In front of the plates is a paper sign with the words "Eat Me" in Sharpie.

    Why should she have an exam? Diana had to admit to being sore, Carol made a good point, while Eddie was concerned. She couldn't get out of her head what Carol said, so she agreed to the check-up. This would be her first time having an examination, she wasn't exactly prepared.

    'It would probably be good for her to be examined,' she thought. Suddenly, Diana was plagued with what-ifs. A person could go crazy thinking about them. So Diana didn't. Once she really thought about it, she was glad she agreed to the exam. Talking to Eddie might be helpful.

    The last few days were unusual for Diana. Internalizing them, she had several thoughts she didn't like. She knew better than to compare herself to humans, but it was difficult too resist. She would ask to speak to him confidentially. Making her way to Medical, she was impressed by how pristine everything looked. When she was sure where she was, she called out, "Hello. Eddie?"

    This will be the first attempt to enter a doorway. The first team to go through includes Stever Rogers, Carol Danvers, Diana Prince, Dean Winchester, and Sam Winchester.

    On the other side, Darcy Lewis, Barbara Gordon, and Grace Ryder man the computers while Tony Stark controls the opening and monitors vitals.

    Team B is on standby, and several others are encouraged to be in the room to see what happens.

    They go through the door geared up for anything, and upon entering through the doorway, find themselves forced through into the other world, practically falling into...

    8:00AM Meeting. There is coffee for those in attendance, with Tony arriving a little later than the others.

    Instructions: Unlike a log thread, in this post, you can write a brief description of what your character says/does/or how they react to things during the meeting. You can interact with other players to play off one another if you want (short conversations, interactions, etc). This is not meant to be a detailed area to log play. It's just a fun way to get characters to interact IC and also spring ideas off one another naturally.

    Please notice how they are different posts in chronological order below.

  • Before the meeting:. Characters that arrived first, greeted each other, maybe had brief conversations?

  • Tony arrives, announces his plan: Talk about if they think it's a good idea to go through. Argue which world they should try to open. Maybe there's an ethical question.

  • Volunteers!: Here is where your character volunteers to be on the 'team' to explore the doorway.

  • Afterwards: Does your character stay to talk to Tony or nee the last word? Are two of you sitting back to converse about how this is going to go down?
