Plot OOC and TL;DR

The Lighthouse gets destroyed by an explosion over and over again in a time loop that only Jemma is living through. She attempts to keep the destruction from happening by working with Fitz and Magnus, eventually discovering that she is causing the time loop. She manages to go back enough to finally have time to stop the explosion—and then disappears in a flash of green light.

OOC: No one can enter or leave the time loop zone while it's active. It's physically and magically impossible.

Plot TL;DR

Even Tony couldn't believe they were doing this. He had a knot in his gut. It was the same feeling he had when Loki attacked New York and he realized he had to travel through the portal with that bomb. The feeling he had when he realized Pepper had been exposed to extremis. The feeling he had when Wanda once made him hallucinate that his friends had all died because of him.

It was a bad feeling.

But he didn't let it show. He kept it light-hearted and sarcastic, assuring the others it was going to be fine. He had to do this. They didn't realize his theory yet, and for a while, he wanted to keep it that way. But once the portal was open and staring them in the face, he knew better. They should know.

They'd already run the first few probes. No video, but the drone came back safe. The second one was a little less defined. There were ebuildings. The suit came back safe. Okay. The lack of video feeds could be because of the electronic transmission of the portal, but there was audio that worked. So that was good. He could describe to the others what he saw when he got back.

Taking a breath, fully suited up sans his helmet, he stepped forward, stopped, then turned to the others.

"So, time to come clean," he looked directly at Bruce then Darcy. "There's a reason I'm doing this. Or we have to do this. I have a theory that the people disappearing from our world are going to these other worlds. If we can trace the PONG readings, we might be able to get them back." That meant people like Happy. Peter's friends, Ned and MJ. "It means we can check on those from other worlds disappearing, too. We can make sure they're heading home. It's a theory. But this is the first step in figuring that out." They were nowhere near actually achieving that yet. "I didn't want to get people's hopes up yet. So one step at a time."

He took another breath. "Anyway, wish me luck?" He grinned and activated his helmet before turning to head through the portal.

The first step was easy enough- a sucking sensation he knew from his past trips, and then there they were. Only...this wasn't like vampire world. This was different. He was in a city- what he thought was a city. It was....destroyed. Completely destroyed. Rubble everywhere, an eery darkness in the sky. No stars. Just darkness and a light emanating from somewhere- like through dark clouds.

Through the comms, he uttered. "Uh, guys. I don't think I'm in Kansas anymore." He muttered as he stepped away from the portal to look around. "You getting visuals on this?" There was nothing transmitting in the video feed.

"There's nothing here. Well, looks like there was something-" He stepped on a street sign, looking down. It read 'Broadway'. Then, he started to recognize a few things. This had been New York.

"Shit. It's New York." He should go back. Even with no signs of life, no signs of danger, he had a bad feeling- meanwhile, the portal started to flicker. And Tony squinted up at the sky as he saw something that made him start to panic a little- a purple cloud was engulfing the sky and in the distance, it was literally sucking up the city on the horizon. What the hell?

"I'm heading back!" He turned to go but the portal flickered unstably. The readings were off the chart.

And then, the comms were cut out. And the portal closed.

There was radio silence from then on in.

While on Xandar, our Space Cases run into a few obstacles. With Nova Prime acting a bit odd, Carol realizes something is probably up. The team planned to break into three different groups in order to figure out what was going on with the Power Stone and see if they can uncover anything else the Nova Corps knows about the Thanos situation.

Team A: Carol and Loki acted as the 'negotiators'. They met with Nova Prime to ask questions about the stone and try to steer attention away from what Team B is doing.

Team B: This team includes Thor, Ray, Scott, Daisy, and Poe. These guys are going after the stone based on their latest intel and what the team knows about Nova Corps security. They might or might not get found out.

Team C: This team includes Nebula (anxious to get away), Mantis, and Rocket/Groot. Our "escape team". They're supposed to be back on the ship ready to go ASAP when Teams A and B come back. Just in case.

Team C**: Kate and Bruce, meanwhile, have gotten themselves into trouble. Oops.

( Space Cases: The One Where They're All Disappointed )

Tony opened the Portal while Bucky and Darcy were on duty. As always, Tony insisted on being the first to test it out. After he didn't return for a half-hour, Bucky went in after him.

It was another few minutes later when Bucky came out dragging Tony behind him- who had grown a beard, was carrying a wizard hat and was ranting about talking bears.

Welcome to Shrek-World, everyone! Over the next two weeks, anyone who enters the portal will find themselves transformed into some kind of fairy tale creature or character similar to the twisted versions found in the Shrek Franchise.

Tony had found himself dressed as a wizard, and being Tony he started to explore. The longer you stay in the world, the more at risk you are to forgetting who you are and starting to believe the fantasy (as Tony did, here). Bucky crossed over, becoming a knight and not thinking so much about it before finding Tony and dragging him back through.

Eventually, Tony will find a workaround to prevent the memory loss at least, but not the transformation (just a little adjustment to the communicators).

Anyway, have fun! This is a light-hearted portal. There are no immediate dangers in place, and characters can just explore and get lost in alter-egos of themselves. The work-around will be figured out by Wednesday.

In the meantime, the ship team is still hard at work building and updates to that are coming soon!

11:00pm: The lights went out in the facility, and all screens flickered on again, covered in green question marks. An unfamiliar voice echoes through the speaker system of the facility.

"Riddle me this. What can't you find but is all around you? The answer. Is me."

The face of the Riddler appears, smiling into the camera, despite looking worse-for-wear with a few bruises and a bloody lip. He still looks too pleased with himself.


"What a lovely place you have here. Quite impressive. I'm sure my friends will be happy to set share. Now. I'm just warning you not to try to stop me. I know you have many people here with unique powers, and even some with a brain cell or two, but I wouldn't advise any rash actions."

As he steps aside. Behind him, Barbara Gordon is tied up and gagged.
, and it's clear she has some kind of explosive device in her lap. "It would be a shame to end your little parties so soon."

The screen fades back to the question marks.

The Facilities 'lock down' protocols has been activated. Doors are locked. Windows are shuttered. Everyone is stuck where they are until it's cleared by 3 am. Feel free to react.

OOC NOTE: Characters CAN escape from rooms using powers or other methods and run the facility. It will just be more difficult with lockdowns happening. No one will be able to access the hanger at this time, either.

[Since Bruce Banner guessed the answer to the riddle, the power has shut off!
Power is off throughout the facility. The network runs off its own independent generator, as does everything in the labs (so portals are still operating fine and people can communicate).

But, the rest of the place is without lights, entertainment, and the worst of all, the food may spoil.

Tony will be working on this right away. Power will be restored before midnight!

This will be the first attempt to enter a doorway. The first team to go through includes Stever Rogers, Carol Danvers, Diana Prince, Dean Winchester, and Sam Winchester.

On the other side, Darcy Lewis, Barbara Gordon, and Grace Ryder man the computers while Tony Stark controls the opening and monitors vitals.

Team B is on standby, and several others are encouraged to be in the room to see what happens.

They go through the door geared up for anything, and upon entering through the doorway, find themselves forced through into the other world, practically falling into...
