When: Day 30 late evening.
What: Lucas Scott and Layla Williams meet.
Rating: Probably PG just to be safe.
Status: Complete.

Lucas had spend some time in the library and was now taking a walk around the place. He was hoping to find some way to get back to Gilmore. He didn't think he would but he hoped he figured that he should at least try.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked down by the lake. He looked out on the lake and watched the waves lap for a few moments.

	Him speaking into her ear like that was going to kill her, he was going to kill her. Layla shivered hard when he did that, eyes closing. She pulled back enough to look him in the eyes then. "How can I lead the way. I don't know the way." Layla said to him softly, putting her arm in the circle of his arm. She bit the side of her lip and nodded. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He noticed that she was shivering and assumed she was cold. He took of his jacket and slipped it on her shoulders before she put her arm of the circle of his arm.

"Oh that's right, you don't. I'm sorry I forgot. OK, I'll lead the way," he said with a smile.

He didn't add that she was proving very distracting.

He walked with her to the coffee place arm in arm. He couldn't help stealing glances at her as they walked.

	"Oh thank you for this. I am not really cold though." Layla didn't move his coat, she kept it around her, he smelled delicious. "OK, I will follow. No worries, I am right here." Layla walked with him, her eyes closed, not worrying about the dirt and grass around her because they wouldn't hurt her. "So, the coach of the cobra's? How did you like that?" 	She didn't move his coat and he didn't try to move it. "Yeah I love it. I used to play in High School but I had to stop for health reasons. I love the game though and I love to coach. We won the state championship a couple of years back," he said with a lot of enthusiasm. It was obvious he was passionate about what he did. "You like being on the swim team?" "Yes, I mean you always had someone close by talking to you or arguing with you, I didn't want to pry or impose."

Layla was just a very family oriented person, to know her parents would be so hurt because of her, even indirectly bothered her. Then there were her friends, Warren, Will and Magenta.

"Thank you, you are a very sweet guy." Layla said as she stepped around him.

	"Um, yeah, that is so weird." It really shouldn't be weird to her all things considered, still this whole place weirded her out. "I, um...I won't get anything." "Yeah it is pretty weird," he said. He closed his eyes and thought about what he wanted. It took him a few moments to think of anything beyond her.

Eventually he decided on a latte to go. He opened his eyes and it was there. He looked at her again and had that urge to kiss her again.

He took her hands in his and laced their fingers together in an attempt to calm her down.

"Yeah? So, I just have to think of a Non dairy, hazelnut latte with ice and it will appear? Just like that?" Being a sidekick should prepare her for this, but right now she just felt like a regular girl, scared and lonely.

She noticed his reaction, leaning a little closer, she brought a hand to his cheek and studied his face. "Hey, are you OK?"

Layla nodded at his comment of this place being strange and new.

"All right, it just, it feels so weird. I don't know if I want to give myself up to a higher power like that, yet I am thirsty." Layla bit and worried at her lip then. She saw the blush, and she didn't say anything. Smiling when he leaned into her hand, her thumb caressed over the surface when he had.

"I didn't mean to make you feel off or weird, or whatever I made you feel?"
