Hey guys! Hope you've enjoyed your stay in Faerie!

We're bringing Event 11 to a soft close so that the godlings can return to their regularly-scheduled lives. However, if you still have unfinished business in Faerie, you are all welcome to complete/backdate those threads at your leisure! None of the logs are being closed. You can still play out the event logs as needed.

This also allows for our new characters to enter the game officially! Puck is now one of you, and he'll need some help getting adjusted into mortal life. Also, Phonos and Ares, you'll find your posting permissions available under "Asylum Invitations" on the left-hand sidebar.

And welcome to the wonderful world of Faerie, everyone! I hope you're excited.

First of all, you'll be entering through the faerie gate. It kinda looks like a giant pizza oven wreathed in orangey-pink and purple faerie fire. Very pretty.

Inside, you'll be entering the Unseelie Court. Since the Unseelie are nocturnal by nature, at best the natural lighting is a perpetual twilight, but in some places, it is completely dark, lit only with faerie lights of various kinds.

You're welcome to explore the area, and you may proceed either individually, in pairs, or in small groups. It is possible that you may find yourselves separated even if you start off together. If you want an Event Buddy or two and don't already have one, you're welcome to use this post to divvy up into groups.

It's possible (even likely) that you may run into various members of the Unseelie while there. Some may be benign, others may become aggressive. However, since virtually everyone is going in as immortals, they shouldn't pose any truly serious dangers. After all, Faerie itself does not want any of you to die.

Please do keep in mind that Faerie wants you all to stay. Badly. It will try to confuse you, and make your paths seem labyrinthine. And it will try to make you WANT to be there. Remember your questionnaires? Shortly after your arrival, you will be immediately presented with the temptations of your favorite sweets, guilty pleasures and ultimate desires--and they'll be the best possible versions of them you've ever encountered. The food IS real, but it's enchanted to dull the senses and willpower and be very, very addictive. Consider that your warning.

Also, shortly after you begin exploring, Faerie will try to wrap you in illusion scenarios. (The Fade nightmares from Dragon Age are very similar to what Faerie will try to pull on you.) Some might be pleasant. Others, not so much. The exact contents of the illusions are up to you guys, but it should be something that will appeal to everyone in the group who is affected. (If you can't think of anything, Ash and I can create something for you.) Some of you may be able to see through it and escape being affected at all. In some cases, perhaps only certain members of a starting group will end up in the illusion. Yes, it will be possible to break free on your own after sensing that things are Not Quite Right. Some of you might need to be rescued by others--and anyone can rescue anyone, but do make sure all group members are OK with it before barging into their dreams. Keep in mind that EVERYTHING in these scenarios is an illusion or a glamour, and the only real stuff is the food.

Also keep in mind that, in Faerie, reality is often what you make it to be. Willing certain things tends to make them happen.

Parents, you will quickly discover that the children are missing without a trace. And, just for the sake of clarity those missing include: Cian Cleary, Devin Cleary, Harper Cleary, Julian Cyrus, Laurel Cyrus, Meriset Fizzini, Alexander Karalis, Anthony Lovelace, Ivy Lovelace, Emily Oram, Haley Oram, Lillian Price, Carl Shin and Tina Shin.

As Gaia mentions there in the post, this is the doing of the Sluagh, a particularly nasty breed of Unseelie. You are welcome to use Gaia's post to plot the discovery of the kidnappings and plan the children's recovery. But, one thing is clear: You guys are going into Faerie to get them back.

Also remember that Faerie doesn't want to give up its inhabitants, and will do everything it can to foil your efforts. More specific information on that to come once you've all arrived there. ^_^ However, once you're in Faerie itself, all the godlings will be reverting to their fully-immortal selves for as long as you're behind the Veil. For the godlings who have always been mortal to start with (Percival, Ariadne, Sita, etc.), you'll still be human, but at your very best human selves with a modest increase to your natural talents. Also keep in mind that synergies WILL be in effect even in Faerie, so be aware of that! Once you return to the human world, you become human once again.

But, don't worry! You have an ally waiting for you on the other side! Puck gets a very special entry into game for this event, and he'll do what he can to help! Of course, once he leaves the protection of Faerie, he'll be just as human as the rest of you.

Well, Metem, congratulations, we've done it! Today marks our two-year anniversary! Way to go! That is a milestone to be proud of!

In honor of the festivities, we have some great stuff for you!

First off, we're announcing a slight change to the rules! Most of you probably won't even notice this, but we're actually lifting the cap on character slots. Although everyone still gets ten free slots, you now have the option to petition for additional PCs. The process is exactly the same as always: write up an app and submit it, just make sure you put "Petition for Additional Slot" in the subject header when you comment. Then, in addition to reviewing the application itself, Mod Paul will take into consideration your current activity levels and characterizations to determine if the extra slot is warranted and will approve or deny on a case-by-case basis. It's that easy!

Secondly, Event 11 is coming up on June 23rd, and we're giving you the introductory information so you can begin making your plans!

Lastly, we've been playing together now for a long time, with some folks newer to the group than others, but we've become good friends, yes? But, really, how well do we actually know each other? Well, over the next few months, you'll get the opportunity to get to know your mods a little better than before! And, if you guys like, we may expand this to have a featured player of the month do the questionnaire as well! To start with, here're some tidbits about the gal who started all this, your fearless leader!
