Eren blinks for a second, the shock on his face giving way to anger as he glares up from the floor.]

Provisions?! We can't waste time! They're under attack!

[He scrambles upright, grabs a chair, (wait, Eren, that's your weapon?) and makes another dash for the door.

How could Levi understand the wild panic seizing him? How could Levi know what 'hesitation' means to Eren? Hesitation brings death. Hesitation killed Eren's mother.

No. Those people need help now.

[If there's ever a time that Levi wants to face palm, it's around Eren goddamn Yeager, especially when the idiot thinks a chair is the perfect weapon for defense. The kid's reckless, rushing in without a plan or safety net and if he isn't so resilient, he'd be dead a dozen times over by now.

Levi lets out a low, frustrated growl, flipping the knife in his hand into an underhand grip and after a last look at the provisions just waiting for him to pilfer in the kitchens, storms in after Eren.

Being responsible for the brat's life, he can't very well let him die now, can he?]

Yeager! [It's a commanding call, daring Eren to disobey him again and not respond. It's barely been ten seconds since Eren left his sight; there's no way he can get into much trouble during that time...]

[Ten seconds is a long time.

At least, it's long enough for one fifteen-year-old to be mobbed by a swarm of giant wasps.

He's already broken the chair over one of their spindly backs, and is now wielding a wooden leg in each hand, flailing away at his attackers.

Superb fighting skills or not, it's fairly obvious that a nine-to-one ratio isn't the greatest - especially when your weapon is NOT the perfect weapon of defense.]

[Good thing Levi's there then, since nine to two are perfect odds for him. He takes barely a second to assess their attack formation before he rushes them, kicking off on a spinning leap as he gets close. Two wasps immediately fall as he spins past, the other speared in the head joint from underneath as he lands. The other wasps scatter in confusion at the sudden deaths among their numbers.

Levi straightens from his partial crouch, flicking ichor off his knife and grimacing at the stains still left behind.]

This is why you don't rush in without a plan. [He doesn't look at Eren, watching the remaining wasps as they collect themselves for another attack.]
