[Chekov is not immune to fear or equipped with any superpowers, but he has a flashlight, a stun gun, and Starfleet's standard-issue tendency towards irrational heroics. No horrors summoned by the dome are going to keep him from patrolling and doing what he can to be helpful.

Need an escort to a safer location? Someone to put a few raptors down for a nap? A friend to share some not-entirely-natural horror with? Look no farther!]

[He pulls out his stun gun and points it in the general direction of the raptors. It's not an impressive-looking weapon, but it does what he needs it to do.] This.

[And he doesn't take a shot at the raptors immediately since it's dark and, frankly, he's not good enough to hit anything at a distance when he can't see it well. He would be far more concerned about his new friend if he knew that the sword was foam.]

Incoming what? [Chekov swings his flashlight in a somewhere-behind-Kitty direction. The raptors would be easier to take down if they had made themselves as glowy as Kitty, but they aren't that considerate.

If he can take a shot at one of the raptors without the risk of stunning Kitty, he's going to.]

[Chekov is that you? She was mostly calling out to be on the safe side. She was in too close of quarters before so she was leading them somewhere better but that's not better! She needs to take them out fast!]

Raptors. [Normally a sarcastic quip would go there, but right now she's more concerned with taking care of said threat.] Get to higher ground. [She extends her claws and stops, turning to take a deadly swipe at the one closest to her.]

Yes, I can see that, and you are doing a poor job of running away. [At least now he has a clear shot at one of them. Using the hand holding the flashlight for stability, he fires at the third raptor, missing once before finding his target. Between the darkness and his mediocre marksmanship, the creature managed to get closer than he might have liked.

He doubts that Kitty has much need of his assistance right now, but he's heading her way regardless.]

I'm trying to make some improvements in that area. [Partially because she does have a harder time trusting humans with these things and she knows that's not right. And partially because of Reid and his issues with her having faith in his ability to handle himself.]

[She kneels down by the incapacitated raptor and pulls off one of her glow sticks, fixing it tightly around his snout and securing it so he won't be able to bite at least when he does get up or will just spend the time trying to get it off. It's something. The wardens will have everything cleaned up in the morning. They'll remove it then if it's still in place.]
