DAY 365 — Anniversary Festival Mingle

Happy Day 365, Marina Nova!

Hear ye, hear ye! Inmates, prisoners, fellow underwater dwellers! Lend me your ears and hands and actually just bring all of you because we're having a ye olde Renaissance Faire to celebrate a full year in this bubble under the sea!

The dome has of course been decked out appropriately. Flickering torches light the pathways, interspersed with larger bonfires that you can cosy up to with that special someone - or perhaps just a glass of honey mead. Pennant banners hang across the gates and along the buildings, sporting the proud coat of arms of the prison (a lot of purple and octopi, for some reason) and many of the clothing stores offer time-appropriate options for those of you who still knows how to have fun. The kiosk has even been re-imagined into a castle.

Many areas within the dome has activities to partake in and, if you're skilled or lucky or both, prizes to win!

Sector 5 Gamegrounds: What better way to show your bravery than by participating in a series of tests of strength and cunning? Sector 5 provides the inmates with a chance to try such varied sports as varpa, caber tossing, ring toss or the very dignified sport of rövkrok, a type of wrestling that requires skill as well as no sense of shame. Not tough enough for you? There are also friendly foam weapons and armor available for those who want to engage in a chivalrous bout of hand to hand combat, test your archery skills — or maybe convince another prisoner to give you a piggyback ride and go jousting!

Competitors that do well enough and show outstanding bravery may be rewarded with a handful of rehab points, or a personalized pennant — or maybe a kiss from the lord or lady of your choosing!

Less violent activities: Not into skewering your neighbors on spears? Maybe you'd rather relax with a game of knucklebones, pick up sticks or Nine Men's Morris. Boards and instructions are readily available in several areas. If you're more creatively inclined there's also activity tables on offer where you can create your own coat of arms, bind yourself a flower crown or learn the art of illumination.

Food: The food carts in sector 0 are now carrying food fit for the occasion. Whole roasted pigs and poultry, wild rabbit in plum sauce, thick beef stews smelling of rich saffron, roasted vegetables (no potatoes here, no sir!) and cream-stewed cabbage for the vegetarians among us. If you're still hungry there's saffron pancake, ginger and clove cookies or bread pudding with raisins for dessert. There's plenty of mulled wine, honey mead, foaming beer, honeyd applewater and lingonberry juice to wash it down with. Enjoy!

Dance: As is custom, there will be a dance at the beach at the end of the day. Great fires will roar and a band of robots will strike up music suitable for dancing! Dress up in your finest satin and velvet, brush the extrement off your shoes and grab a partner!

Enjoy!

[ He's out here, sans costume, simply to look at the punters and boy howdy did he find the biggest one. Hello, guy he bit that one time. ]

You can't be serious.

I rarely am. It's sort of my thing. [He's not one to hold grudges when the bite in question totally led to awesome sex for him. He's still going to stay out of biting range though.] Why aren't you dressed up?

[ Good. He's glad that he's being avoided. This is awesome. ] Why would I be when I can watch you lot make asses out of yourselves?

Besides, if you've lived through this it's not all fun and games.

[We can't all be weird friends with you. Some people have to be less than excited by your presence.]

I beg to differ. There is literally nothing here today except fun and games. I think you're just a boring and melodramatic person.

[ Like he even wants to be friends with you. Jerk. ]

Or maybe my idea of fun isn't marketed to nerds and twelve year olds.

Honestly if put my mental age closer to nine so that's a bit flattering.

[ He snorts, genuinely amused. ] You are ridiculous.

Probably a good thing I never ate you, maybe I would've caught something.

Yeah like electricity. You would have caught that. In your face. Like you did last time. [Remember?]

Oh please. It's not like that's all of you... unless it is, in which case I feel sorry for your girl.

[ Wouldn't that be a story. Dead girl getting Frankensteined by her robot boyfriend. ]

And I don't want to know. Pervert.

Pretend all you want, we both know you are super curious about my potentially robotic genetalia now and you'll have to go through life tormented by the mystery.

You do realize I've seen just about any kinky fuckery you can think of by now, right? I lived through Woodstock for crying out loud! You could have a spring-loaded cock that plays Yankee-doodle for all I care, still wouldn't be much of a surprise.

One doesn't rule out the other. [ Except now he's thinking of spring-loaded cocks, this was not part of the plan. Help. ]
