Because this sort of thing is stupid and nobody understands it. You don't have to try to explain that part to me, trust me. Anyway I'm not trying to lecture you or tell you to change anything about how you're doing things.

It is stupid. [He mutters it, shoulders still hunched up. Maybe he should change how he's doing things. Sometimes it feels like how he's doing things isn't really working. But he doesn't really know what to do. It wasn't like he was making plans for a long, happy life.

Trust me, trust me. He keeps saying that. And he does. He's trying. But it's hard, you know?]

What if doesn't get better at all?

[He shrugs.] Meet a girl whose willing to drug your food, I guess. Other than that I don't have any answers. Before I got here I was just planning to blow up as many bad guys as I could before one of them got me. People are more accepting here. I don't feel like as much of an outsider, or like I don't have a future. But that's not because of anything I did. It's because of other people. I don't have anything I can tell you that will magically fix things.

Good point. No offense to Yuuri but he doesn't strike me as the type to reliably measure and administer doses of anti-depressants. [Don't think he doesn't know about your love life just because he's refrained from giving you a hard time about it. Chuck talks. He knows. And it's only because he cares that it isn't being the most embarrassing dad ever about it.]

If you ever want to talk I'm here. I have fewer answers than the functional people but I've lived it, and that's more than most of them can say. I get it, even if I can't fix it.
