[Being in the body of a woman he recognizes from the streets in the seedier parts of DC does not keep Nathan inside. The compulsive walking cannot be stopped, not even by jeans that are too long or long-sleeved shirts that are awkwardly tight across the chest.

[It's different, being held by someone taller and more solid than he is. Safe. Easier for him to rest his face on her chest and act like she can't tell that he's crying. He feels smaller and more fragile than usual. It's a reminder that this body is a delicate and breakable thing.

[While this is nice, the wrongness is impairing Nathan's ability to stay anything approaching calm. He still wants to claw his way out of this skin.]

This doesn't feel right. [Any of it. His breasts are pressed between them, Euphie's stubble occasionally scratches his forehead, and no amount of wanting to latch on to Euphie so she can keep him safe is making things okay. He can't seem to convince himself to move, though.]
