Day 331 (strange relations) / Open Video / Picnic Mingle
[Have Euphie's smiling face on the screen. Kanji and I would like to invite you all to a picnic today! Of course we want to see all our family there, but friends and soon-to-be friends too. [That means strangers.]

You don't have to worry about bringing anything, but if you'd like to bring something extra to share or a game that would be fun or even just an extra blanket just in case that would always be welcome.

We'll be in Trois Park near the koi pond and fountain at noon today.

[There will already be some blankets laid out and pink picnic baskets with a variety of food—many of which have been prepared in extra cute ways like rice balls shaped like cats. You probably think this was mostly Euphie's doing, but it was mostly that boyfriend of hers, Kanji.]

	Varrick arrives fashionably late, and fashionably dressed, because he wasted most of his morning and afternoon looking for something to wear. And then he was sidetracked by building a better, more efficient closet. But he's here now! "Brother!" And so is Jack, his favorite half-brother. (His only half-brother, but who's counting?) See, this is why Jack pretty much always wears the same thing. He knows he's going to look stylish and striking without having to go through the daily trawl through the wardrobe for something new.

It's one of those things they've never really agreed on, not that it's been the cause of any major arguments or anything. More just teasing, from both sides.

He turns at the greeting, smiling widely and spreading his arms wide. "Varrick! Good to see you at last! Took your time deciding what to wear, as always, I see!"

	"And you took no time at all, as usual." You can't go wrong when you wear the same outfit day in and day out. At least Jack wore a nice outfit, even if it was repetitive. He shrugs, grinning. "What can I say? Gives me more time to enjoy with my lovely wife, or to spend at my son's wonderful picnic!"

He looks around, as impressed as Varrick at the numbers of people who've turned up.

"It is a good turn-out, isn't it? I'm very proud of Kanji today."

Even if Kanji himself seems extremely confused and in denial about their relationship.

	Jack notices the frown and decides not to dwell on it, because he's getting a bit tired of all the odd reactions his relationship to Kanji is getting today. 	"Well, you just have to go out and find it!" Not that he feels Varrick's ever been one not to go out and find what he wants, but obviously he hasn't found it here yet. He spreads his hands.
