Day 280 [Spike Resouling Mingle / open*]
[It seems peaceful enough on surface. Just another average evening in the dome. Get some new inmates, have lunch, put a vampire's soul back.

Tonight is the night. They'll either come together as the team she wants them to be or this will fall apart. She gave out the final assignments yesterday. Now, it's a matter of having a little faith that they'll all do their part, and this spell will work.

She can feel the weight of the stake on her belt. It's not that the wood is heavy, but what it represents is—a choice she'll have to make to whether or not to take someone else's choices away.]

(OOC: *Open in that there are areas for different people like those mentioned by name in this OOC organizational post are welcome to tag into the appropriate stage below. Unnamed force members are also welcome to encounter Spike early on or be stationed at the Headquarters. Mm, never better since Walker disappeared. [Though he has an inkling of a thought, a feeling that they'd ached since. But he can't place it.]

Good riddance, am I right? [He turns up his palm to cradle a single Tease on it, which bats its wings to take flight, circling around her and dodging through her intangible form. Daring her to become solid and to tip him off when she does.]

There is a little something lacking without him...[He smiles though, seeing the Tease bat around behind her.

Watching it land on her shoulder, feather light.] a bloodthirst that lingers.

[He moves quick, recovering from that 'pained' hunch to lash out at her with a blackened hand, dark matter making his fingers razor sharp as he moves to slash across her to inflict a similarly shallow cut. One for one.]

[Phased again, she drops back. Hand going instinctively to the wound she didn't have time to evade. She doesn't heal the way he does, but she knows how to play on an injury.

And then the laughter. Maybe a little bit the pearl's fault at her neck, but it's not exactly unusual to see a smirk on her face mid-battle. Just less common when she's the one getting sliced.]

You wouldn't be the first woman I've fought, Kitty. And this? This is self defense, since you saw fit to try and gut me. [He pats his stomach before taking up a casual stance, teeth shown in a curled back smile. The tease behind her continues to dart at her, trying to land but this time also to bite.]

Do all your minions know you're this ruthless? Do they go along with you like sheep, because you're in power? [Questions he asks as he swipes forward again, aggressively trying to get another hold of her.]

[The good thing about his abilities is being a real cheat, phasing through her legs but reaching down with his arm to grab at a fistful of her hair with a yank.] I know who I am and who I choose to follow, love.

[Tendrils of dark matter curl and coil around his wrists, like little snakes that reach out for her. He moves to kick her, releasing two more Tease into the air to bite at her bared skin whenever possible.] But do you know? How long I've waited for this? [The chance to fight her.]

[Tyki grins, mimics her in stripping off clothes only he tosses his bloodied vest to the side and skims his fingers over his stomach. Not as deep, he'll survive. His eyes skim her and he takes a sideways standing stance, tongue running along the line of his upper teeth.

He'd wait, but where's the fun in drawing on the stalemate? He charges forward, one arm blacked with dark matter in case she uses her claws while the other tries to get a grip of her. Neck, shoulder, hair. Whatever works.]

[It had to be the gut, didn't it? She feels the wind go out of her. No reply yet. The flash of pain is too bright and bold, but she uses it. Feeds on it. Not her first time, but it has been a long, long time and she can feel how rusty she is in a battle like this. She shouldn't already be in this kind of shape. Pathetic really. But one good turns deserves another, right? She sends her next punch to his unbound wound.]

[He grunts, because like it or not, that hurts. But there's a fraction of a second as he hunches forward with a wheeze that he looks at her with confusion. But then it's gone, replaced with a hardened look and his wide dark grin.]

Are you trying to appeal to my heart, Kitty? [A scoff, his hand loosened from her hair and falling to his side.] Because I really thought you understood.

The more I like something the more I want to kill it. [What a wicked laugh.] Do you really want a higher rank?

[He goes down with his hands grabbing for her, one to her waist and the other to her throat. Not unlike how he used to like it too, though he grins up at her with a blood tinged smile and a lip that trails blood down his chin.]

And I see a lonely woman playing house. You think that's much better? To pretend this will last? [He bucks his hips to try and dislodge her to the side, fingers clenching at her throat.]
