Day 280 [Spike Resouling Mingle / open*]
[It seems peaceful enough on surface. Just another average evening in the dome. Get some new inmates, have lunch, put a vampire's soul back.

Tonight is the night. They'll either come together as the team she wants them to be or this will fall apart. She gave out the final assignments yesterday. Now, it's a matter of having a little faith that they'll all do their part, and this spell will work.

She can feel the weight of the stake on her belt. It's not that the wood is heavy, but what it represents is—a choice she'll have to make to whether or not to take someone else's choices away.]

(OOC: *Open in that there are areas for different people like those mentioned by name in this OOC organizational post are welcome to tag into the appropriate stage below. Unnamed force members are also welcome to encounter Spike early on or be stationed at the Headquarters. [His watching is about to pay off as she slips out of the library through a wall to do another perimeter check.

She wanted to play her own wardrobe down. Instinct had her reaching for her X-Men uniform, which she'd managed to reclaim when they came to this prison, but she decided for something a little less obvious. She did wear that sometimes, but it stood out and that's not what she wants tonight. Just a simple purple tank top and back yoga pants finished off with black combat boots and a white, cropped leather jacket. Not exactly unusual fare for her.

It doesn't take too long for her to catch the tiny flare from his cigarette or the wisps of smoke traveling on the air. She hesitates, considering back up before walking over to him. It's just her and Tyki. He's probably just...out. No reason to think it's connected.]

Shouldn't you be slumming it in six?

Mm, my saw broke. [He says with a casual enough smile, flicking ashes sidelong as he watches her walk towards him. His eyes don't miss the outfit, skimming curves like they always do, but for different reasons than admiring her thighs. She doesn't seem to be carrying anything, she seems... the usual. But the fact she came out of the library is interesting, and he raises his brows before reaching into his vest pocket.

He pulls out a pack of cigarettes, offering her one.] And I thought I'd research a more efficient way to reinforce a wall. [He said with a nod of his head towards the library. Books, right? He totally reads books.]

[The wrist gauntlets are in place, but that's true more often than not. They're basically just giant bracelets at this point. She's also got a new charm on her choker—a pink pearl. It has its work cut out for it tonight.

Oh, did you think I meant that boyfriend? Nope. He's not in there. I don't think those books are going to help with your place unless you use them to prop it up.

[She takes a nice long drag of her cigarette and uses this moment to call out to M'gann who was keeping the team in telepathic range.

M'gann, Tyki is outside. He's talking about going in the library. I'd rather trick him away than try to fight him if we can. Just get everyone ready in case it doesn't work out.]

[Remember that tricking him idea? It was a really good idea. The best really. Lying and trickery are not her strong suits. They're not even her mediocre suits.

He also seems weirdly intent on going in a place he's never seemed to care about before. He knows. Somehow he knows. Better here than the headquarters anyway.

So, she decides to play to her strengths. How fast can you go intangible, Tyki?

[Well, that escalated quickly. Tyki's honestly surprised though, how quick she goes to claws and it makes him wonder just what her intent is. She knows he can phase so why she goes for the claws he's not sure, to wound him before he has the chance? Is there something that important inside those halls that she'd rather disable him than let him go? Well. If that isn't interesting enough.

Tyki waits until he feels the pain settle just past the skin of his gut before he phases, feigning wide-eyed surprise as red soaks through the front of his shirt. A once very nice and very clean shirt, thank you, ruined by her sudden show of force - she laid the first punch though, and that's precisely what he wanted. He hunches forward with a grunt, bringing up one hand to her shoulder to play the part of a wounded man.]

That - that wasn't... very nice.

[She knows how powerful Tyki is, and she figured this was her shot. She likely wouldn't get another. At least not a successful one. She tried to let the success of it block out the way her stomach churns at the sight of his blood.

As much as he was goading her just now, she doesn't want to see him hurt, but she doesn't want to see her team hurt more.]

[It doesn't come out cold. Too much emotion even if it's conflicting. What is a little chilly is the way she phases, not trusting his hand on her shoulder.

Honestly. I feel a bit offended right now. [He holds his hand across his stomach, like the wounds aren't only on one side of him and he makes a point of staggering a step. If she thinks he's injured he's hoping she might underestimate what he's capable of.]

It may be new news to you, love, but that's been going on for a while. [He laughs, looks down at his bloody hand because while it's not as bad as he lets on there's something fascinating about blood. It stirs the Noah in him to a gold gleam in his eyes, the metallic scent stirring desire in him for more, this time not his own.]

You couldn't have stabbed me for just that. You burn bars, not kill when you find out you're out of the loop. Let's not pretend we don't know what this is, kitten. It's getting embarrassing. [He backs up another step, they're in a stalemate with their abilities - but he has the advantage. You can't fight the intangible, but you can't stop it from moving either. And one of those two things is more important to him right now, evident in his dry lipped smile.]

You were closer than your bar this time. Besides, if you understood me as well as you claim to you'd still have me. [But understanding was never really their problem. He's the scorpion. Destruction is just in his nature. The noah's nature.

She's running through their options. She's got a speedster and a super strong android inside. Neither do a lot of good against someone who doesn't let himself get touched. Surprise is gone, but Wally's so fast he might get one good shot in. That leaves M'gann.]
