250 - Fear Itself Mingle
[ Today is a day where most would be at risk of oversleeping.The dome lies dark like in the dead of night. The sun hasn’t risen today, streetlights casting a dull yellow glow and occasionally flickering out into nothing, only to spark back to life a moment later. There is no electric flicker from the kiosk. The Wardens are still. The wardens are silent.

The dome isn’t silent. There is a rustling of leaves, a snapping of twigs. Claws, scraping against concrete. The inhuman screech of an animal in peril, an animal hunting, an animal hunted. A screech that promises sharp claws and sharper teeth and blood.

The dome isn’t still either. There is something moving, thick as a shadow, tangible as a chill down your spine. Something that doesn’t belong here, something that snuck in when no one was looking. A boogeyman under the bed. A ghost in the closet. A will o’ the wisp, blinking in and out of existence under the flickering streetlights. Whatever it is it’s moving, leaving a trail of cold, dead fear wherever it passes. Something dark. A shadow so pitch black that it blots out the very lights in your heart, dragging your fears out screaming and kicking, reducing even the strongest, toughest man to a blubbering baby.

Perhaps best to stay in bed today, Marina. ]

[Kitty had been looking for people she knew to make sure they were okay. She was using her phasing to sneak through walls and avoid raptors all day while trying to squash down this horrible sense of 'SOMETHING BAD IS COMING' that seemed to be creeping around in the back of her mind all the time.

She came through a wall and squeaked in surprise to find someone there.]

[M’gann completely wasn’t expecting someone to be there so when someone just phases through the wall, she cries out in surprise and immediate instinct made her go invisible so she could observe for a moment, perhaps put some distance between them without the other seeing what she was doing.

After a few long moments and seeing that this person was one of the other inmates, she finally let herself come out of invisibility]

You really scared me there for a moment. I thought there was something sneaking up on me.

[The initial squeak was what startled Kitty to begin with, and she searched back and forth a few times after M'gann had gone invisible. She slowly stepped out further, pretty positive she'd heard something, and startled again when M'gann made herself known.

She sank into the ground to about mid-thigh, but stopped herself from ducking under completely.]

	I've seen stuff like this before... you know, with the lights flickering and power not working. And we did have those dinobirds, but not in a while, as in like not since before we were moved to this dome. Yanno? I was hoping they got left behind. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I can. [Well, it was more like telekinesis to lift the other person off the ground, but she could do that with no issue at all. So she takes her hand and starts to lift both of them off the ground, slowly. Um... not that I'm getting tired, [Because she wasn't] but we probably shouldn't stay here too long. That thing might draw a crowd of friends.

[And she wasn't sure how long M'gann could hold this up without getting tired.]

[They landed on the building easily enough, much to the annoyance of the raptor below. Kitty easily made the switch over to solid before they touched down, so they were completely back to normal.]

I think it's angry. [She chuckled a little, looking down over the edge at it as it snarled and paced before finally stalking off.]

So, yeah... that's what I can do. I can make myself and whatever I touch intangible.

Unless it's electronic... then it just shorts out.
