Note: this continues the de-aged Snape plot begun a couple of weeks ago. He is now a teenager physically but still lacks most of his memories.
"Sev? Have you heard the news?" Smithers hesitated in the doorway. Severus had been brooding over another memory all day.
"Have you been reading the Prophet?" Severus stared at the floor. "It's - "
"No, not that. Professor Lupin won't be back this spring. I don't know if it's the vampire or what, but he's taking his son and moving back to London after Christmas hols."
Severus jerked to his feet. "I have to stop him. He doesn't understand!"
"Sev! Wait!" Smithers grabbed at his friend as he dashed out the door. It was like clutching at air and shadows.
