"I could tell." Snape sipped at his coffee. The seats were so luxurious he needed the caffeine to avoid falling asleep in the deep, soft cushions. "You seem to know everyone here."
"I used to date the owner." Lupin smiled slightly as Snape raised an eyebrow. "Surprised?"
"Somewhat. You and Nymphadora - "
"I wanted acceptance, Severus." Lupin reached for his hand. "It wasn't worth it."
