Remus watched the young couple, hand in hand, strolling through the park and staring up at the almost full moon in obvious pleasure. To them the shining silvery orb was beautiful and alluring, a symbol of mystery and romance.

When the couple disappeared into the darkness, Remus glanced upward. As the pale light washed over him, he could feel claws tightening in his soul, yearning for freedom and blood. He wished he could see what others saw when they looked at the moon, but for him, no matter how beautiful it appeared, it would always be a harbinger of pain.
