Seasons change and so will you in time
Who: Bradley, Linnea and Kajsa (NPC)
Where: The Owl's Nest
When: 4:32 p.m.
Linnea always tried her best not to be late for things that she actually wanted to go to. Or anything for that matter, but today... well, today was one of 'those' days and she had been in the bathroom trying to finish getting ready for far too long. It had - almost predictably - taken Kajsa coming in and fixing her hair for her to get her done by four thirty. "We're supposed to be there at four-thirty," Kajsa reminded her mother as she climbed into the passenger. Linnea was not very used to riding shotgun when her daughter drove, but right then she did not see the harm that could be done. Relaxing back into her seat for a little could be very good for her. Upsetting the thin bandage and small stitches underneath of her dress would not be good. For some reason she thought that Bradley might not be in such a good mood if her pretty dress suddenly had a blossom of red on it. "Being late for dates-"
"It's not a date, Kajsa," Linnea interrupted, eyes closed. "It's dinner with a very good friend. Don't let Kivi hear you saying such things or the poor man will blush himself to death."
"Oh please," Kajsa dismissed that easily, turning the car smoothly. "I've seen the way he looks at you. Just because you're blind to men actually appreciating you... doesn't mean we all are." The venom in her voice was undeniable and it made Linnea sigh. She did not mind her daughter disliking her supposed father, but hearing her say it was a different thing entirely. The two women were silent until they reached the restaurant and started inside, Linnea smoothing her dress out with only a trace of nervousness that Kajsa pretended not to notice. She was most definitely not blind to being appreciated but that was definitely not a subject she wished to bring up with her daughter. Whether Kajsa knew or not... the point remained. It should not be done.
"Don't bring up your father at dinner, Kajsa," Linnea said quietly as they entered, looking around to see if Bradley was anywhere to be seen.
"Can I bring up the fact that you're pretending not to see that Dagmar's-"
"You had a bad day, didn't you?"
"No, but you did. Not blind, mom."
Linnea almost felt a stirring of concern, one hand going to her hand only to be pulled back down by Kajsa almost immediately. "Does it show?"
"Not to people who aren't looking. Don't worry, you're fine. Really."
