How ironic was that with Bren being some figurative family member in the Niemi household. Sort of like how Bradley was taken into the Williamson family at a young age and pretty much stayed there ever since. At least the Williamsons weren't a bunch of air elementals... ok, they were were-birds, so it was sort of the same thing except not. They were far more level-headed than any air elemental he had encountered.
Linnea's description of Bren seemed more or less word for word with what Bradley would have said about the young girl. She was an amazing waitress, but yeah, she did seem to have a tendency to do that. He was slightly confused at Linnea's comment about the flirting and why there was a need to say 'poor girl' over that. Wasn't his place to question. If it was something that truly troubled Linnea, he figured she would tell him eventually. "She has a good heart. Bren, that is. She's really passionate when she puts her mind to something." Probably why Bradley was able to deal with her in the first place, though she still had her off moments.
After a few more bites of his food, Bradley's mind wandered to another fiery topic. "So do you have an plans for tomorrow? I mean, with the fireworks and everything going on. Didn't know if American traditions still bore you or not." Not to mention the water elemental might not have been thrilled about fire in the sky.
