a good, old fashioned double date
WHO | Harper, Josh, Daveigh, & Gabe
WHERE | The Owl's Nest
WHEN | Evening
On the one hand, Harper learned a very valuable lesson about herself today. She learned that when she was irritated or lost her temper even just a little bit, she could summon fireballs to fling at people. Not that she wanted to! Or even meant to! Emilia had just been so relentless in the way she wanted her order to turn out that Harper lost control over her composure. Of course, Emilia had every right to be picky about her order. She was paying for it, wasn’t she? But Harper couldn’t help it. She just lost her temper and flung her hands and then boom. There was a softball sized fireball flying across the bakery.
On the other hand, Harper learned a very valuable lesson about psychics today as well. Apparently, telekinetics were a thing. And Emilia was one of those things. And, apparently, when provoked by an aggravated fire elemental, telekinetics could make things explode. Which is why Harper’s display case was now in ruins. It was a good thing Josh walked in when he did, otherwise the redhead might have thrown a fireball at Emilia’s head on purpose.
Needless to say, her day kind of sucked.
Which was a major reason why she wasn’t going to cancel dinner plans with Daveigh and her boyfriend. She knew that she had every right to; that she had a mess to clean up and she wasn’t in the best headspace for socialization, but this dinner meant a lot to her sister and she wasn’t about to let Daveigh down. Her normally smiling face was stuck in a bit of a rut before they walked up to the restaurant and she glanced over at Josh, idly playing with the necklace she chose to wear that night.
“Thanks for bailing me out,” She made a sort of disappointed, pouty face. “Pretty sure I was about to set that girl on fire. Literally.”
