The Professors had locked off the Great Hall right after lunch, the only people allowed in were the social committee. The girls spent the better part of the day missing classes and setting up for the ball.

Some tables were set up around the walls.

It didn't take long for everything to be in order. The girls spent the last few moments putting the touches on the food and drinks.

About an hour before the ball was to start the girls were finally done. It was a beautiful sight with ghosts everywhere, there was a stage where the two most popular bands were going to be playing. It was by far one of the more elegant balls in the past few years.

When the doors opened to allow the students in a low growl was heard before the first band took the stag in an uproar.

Once the place was crowded an announcement was made.... "Morning classes will be canceled tomorrow!"

	He let out an annoyed sigh. Tony didn't know why, but he felt compelled to make her stay. Maybe to surprise her, maybe to make up for his stupidity and not asking her, or just because he wanted her not to hate him. "Piper, do you want to dance with me or what?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She heard his words and spun around to look at him, she forced herself not to look surprised.. but honestly, she would have been extremely hurt if he had said nothing to her. "Are you asking because you want to dance with me or because yo feel like you have to?" She said with a stone face. No emotion, nothing too harsh, but nothing soft. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Tony tried not to roll his eyes at the question, it would probably make it worse. But he couldn't help but smirk to himself since he obviously did catch Piper by surprise with his request.

"Because I want to. I told you I make decisions for myself some times. So is that a yes or a no?" he asked, trying to keep as little emotion in his answer as possible... except he was smirking.

Piper thought about it for a moment. "Fine." She said. "The answer is yes." Of course she was going to say yes, even though her mean and bitchy side was telling her to say no. Piper wanted to dance with Tony, she wanted to see if he could dance, or if he would be interesting.

And it'd be sort of nice to just... Dance with someone. At least she wouldn't be standing by the walls by herself unhappy. That'd be worse.

"Alright then," Tony nodded and he offered his and to her so they could go out to the dance floor. Of course Tony could dance, he just didn't want to most of the time. Again, one of those things. His mother had heavily impressed upon him the importance of being cultured, and being a gentlemen and all that. Of course, she definitely wouldn't be pleased to know he would be dancing with a Wood.

Piper took his hand slowly, this wasn't going to turn into some mean trick was it? He wasn't going to yank her hand or drop it or do something else mean right? He was a Flint, and her Daddy had warned her against Flints, but her Mum always told her to have an open minded about the different houses. Piper was too much like her mother not to be open minded.

She smiled softly as she let her hand drop to his shoulder. She took half a step closer to him and let him lead.

	Well at least she believed him. Tony took the lead, placing his other arm are her lower back. No lower than that, or her brothers would probably kill him. Who knew what Piper would try to do. They shouldn't even be doing this, but both of them didn't seem to be interested in listening to the advice of their parents by staying away from the other family. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Piper was a little bit scared when they started to dance she could feel her heart pounding, she just hoped he wouldn't feel it. Everything sort of felt like it was in fast and slow motion at the same time.

Piper sort of got lost in him leading her. She didn't know what came over her but she pulled back and looked at him. She didn't pull back far of course. She leaned forward placing her lips on his for half a moment before pulling back stunned.

"I'm sorry." She said before letting go of him and dashing off. It was the music that made her do that right? It was sort of romantic, and sort of... made her think, and it was stupid, and now she'd taken off.

It didn't take long for her to vanish out of the Great Hall. She stopped at the second flight of stairs sitting.
