What if the Triwizard Tournament did not go according to plan? What if something had gone terribly wrong? What if the results had far exceeded what anyone thought was possible and had brought a new kind of chaos and evil upon the wizarding world? What if the magical world was once again getting a glimpse of an evil that had not been seen since the 1980s, when Lord Voldermort had reigned before the Order of the Phoenix had brought him down?

The Triwizard Tournament of 1994 was indeed a disaster... Who could have thought that three exceptionally talented and brilliant stars, the gems of their Institutions, would be capable of committing such atrocities? What if it was rumored that during the final task of the Tournament that Cedric Diggory, Viktor Krum, and Fleur Delacour had been so consumed with greed and desire to win they resorted to the Unforgivable Curses and multiple attempts to murder each other? Would you believe them when they said they were innocent? Or would you believe that there was a bigger evil lurking there unseen, taking advantage of children, making them do their dirty work. Would you think they were lying to save themselves?

Four years later, people are still debating the truths of that disastrous Tournament. A Tournament that ended with no winner and all three Champions in St. Mungos recovering from near fatal injuries, claiming they do not know exactly what happened in the maze. All that people know is that an ambitious Ministry worker named Alexander Yaxley that has successfully petitioned for the Tournament to be held again and that it will be taking place this summer at Hogwarts; taking place along side an international Quidditch camp for students held by the brightest and best coaches, players, and stars. Yet, there is something distinctly unsettling about Alexander Yaxley and his ambitions but people cannot put their finger on it.

Ensnared is an AU HP game, non-canon compliant game set in 1998, with an emphasis on the upcoming Triwzard Tournament, the international Quidditch camp to be held at Hogwarts and the flurry of activity surrounding both events. The game will take place in real time over the course of the summer, have numerous chances for involvement in a variety of game wide plots, and will open MAY 14TH.
