And this is Josie with character number two, Philippa Nightingale! (But you can call her Pippa.)

+ Ribbonfin sophomore and Hogwarts exchange student! This is her first year at Gooseberry and she's equal parts excited and terrified, haha. PLEASE BE GENTLE.
+ She's very enthusiastic and hopes this will make people like her. She can be a little needy in her quest for attention and affection, but she's also a very good listener and genuinely cares about everyone, not just her friends.
+ Although she tries to hide it, she has anxiety issues and suffers from panic attacks. There are more than a few Calming Draughts stashed in her suitcase, just in case. :(
+ She was raised a strict vegan, but while it's not a lifestyle she actively chose, she completely believes in it. She won't judge you for not being a vegan, but if you want to ask questions she's more than happy to talk about the whys and wherefores.
+ She's gifted at Potions, but hates having to use the blood or body parts of magical creatures as ingredients. She got into trouble at Hogwarts for skipping class a lot, but despite that chose to take Potions here at Gooseberry in the hope of experimenting with vegan potions as her senior project. (If she's still here for her senior year, of course.)
+ She's looking for a ~*~BOYFRIEND~*~ and is hoping her accent will make her irresistible to tanned boys called Brad or Chuck who have perfect teeth. (A girl can dream.)
+ Over the summer she watched a million high school movies in PREPARATION and knows better than to try and make fetch happen, but expect her to come out with more than a few clichés.
+ Oh and she's in Choir!

Aaaand I think that's it? Hit me up with connections, people! New friends, people who knew her at Hogwarts and thought she was weird, potential crushes, etc.

Diego will be SUPER FRIENDLY if they ever cross paths, and while he might joke-flirt with Pippa, girls his little sister's age are OFF LIMITS. He'll think she's adorable and try to cool big brother her, and watch out for the new kid if she goes to any parties.

Reid and Pippa may not cross paths often. BUT if she's friendly towards him, despite him being a weirdo ice prince, he'll warm up a little. If he ever catches her looking lost or stressed he'll come help, although he might make awkward scowly faces the whole time.

AND CALVIN. Uh, so, Calvin and his friends were probably really terrible to Pippa back at Hogwarts. :( When Calvin sees her at Gooseberry he's going to be all oh no. And when she gets sorted into Ribbonfin he's going to be all OH NO. Calvin is terrible at being gentle with people but I hope EVENTUALLY he will guiltily take Pippa under his wing and be an endless well of reassurance that has no concern for logic or evidence. He would sit and try to convince her for hours that nothing is her fault and she is so right about everything. Also, he secretly sympathizes with the wanting a handsome American boyfriend thing. Look at all these guys. It's seriously unfair.

SO CUTE. Pippa will definitely appreciate a cool big brother to look out for her and show her the ropes! She'll go all giddy and giggly if Diego joke-flirts with her.

Pippa is friendly to pretty much everyone unless they're really awful to her! She'll be equal parts intimidated and concerned by Reid's scowly faces, haha. "You look kind of scary... are you okay???"

YES, I can so see Goyle and his lot bullying Pippa. THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT, CALVIN. Pippa is also going to have an OH NO moment when she realises she's been sorted into his house, but that's going to be followed by lots of comments about Hufflepuffs and Slytherins being more alike than they know, haha. Ahhhh I'm so excited for these two to interact!! TOGETHER THEY WILL SNARE THEIR AMERICAN HOTTIES~

He will... awkwardly assure her he is. TALKING TO PEOPLE IS REALLY HARD.

HIS PAST IS COMING BACK TO HAUNT HIM IN THE FORM OF A VERY PERKY GINGER. Oh, I also noticed they're both from Somerset! Calvin could never truly escape Pippa. And oh my god Calvin thinks he must be the worst Slytherin, he's in the nice kind person house and a Hufflepuff just got sorted in with him this is madness. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THEM TOOOOOO AHHH

asldkfjh I'm laughing so hard, you have no idea. I didn't notice the Somerset connection either! (Probably because Bath is part of its own ~special~ county these days so I don't actually think of it as being in Somerset...) Oh my god, Pippa is so going to hang around Calvin when she's feeling homesick and order him to just TALK ABOUT ANYTHING, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT, I JUST WANT TO HEAR A FAMILIAR ACCENT.

Ravi is a Ribbonfin senior prefect, so he'll be one of the people offering to answer any questions and trying to make Pippa feel welcome. ;u; There will definitely be no flirting going because Ravi is not shameless like Diego /HIT

Sy ON THE OTHER HAND is all for flirting with cute giggly exchange students, although there may come a conflict of interest since Sy also bullies Calvin a lot (because Calvin is a jerk I mean honestly). But Sy would be friendly, or as friendly as Sy gets, until Pippa has to side with Calvin and/or tell Sy off.

And Mina will know Pippa from Choir. They might not interact a whole lot, but Mina will be one of those people who's trying to take control of whatever's going on and order Pippa around. She probably sees Pippa as being horribly naive, but she's the same age as Mina's little sister, and Mina can't be too hard on her.

Pippa will appreciate a kindly prefect looking out for her! She has SO MANY QUESTIONS so, uh, I hope Ravi is prepared...

HAHA oh my god this just keeps getting better. At the moment Pippa and Calvin aren't friends, since he was part of the MEAN SLYTHERIN GANG that used to bully her. So if Sy wants to be flirty and friendly at first, go for it! I guess eventually Pippa will realise Sy is Not A Very Nice Person but in the meantime: lol.

Lbr Pippa kind of IS horribly naive... But she grew up around music (her dad collects/records traditional folk songs for posterity) so Pippa might actually stand up for herself if Mina tries to order her around in Choir, because she knows her stuff. WE'LL SEE.

Holden's in her house and would know her! He's the house doormat, so he's up for anything Pippa might need!

But she'd know of Sylla and the rest of the creepy little Borgin girls! Sylla kept to herself and her family at school, but now is her chance to branch out and make something of herself outside of just being one of seven Borgins :p She'll recognize Pippa and may cling to her when she gets particularly homesick.

Awww Pippa is too nice to take advantage of someone (at least on purpose, lol) but she'll appreciate having someone she can turn to!

Haha, excellent. I guess Pippa would be a little wary of Sylla at first, given her Borgin reputation and the fact that she was in Slytherin. But she's all about giving people second chances, so she'll be friendly. :) Clinging sounds good! Pippa is definitely going to get homesick at some point. :|
