So yes, Julie has another character woo! I feel sorry for Allegra she has to be stuck in my head with 3 boys now...

Anyway this here is Kenneth Towler. He's a muggleborn, he's in Gryffindor and he's in his sixth year.... which means sharing a dorm with the lovely Wealsey Twins and Lee Jordan. It's definitely not a bad thing, it means life is interesting though... and that he has to keep an eye on his clothes and anything else, lest there's another bulbadox powder incident. He might seem like a serious/quiet guy, but he does have a sense of humour and knows what the meaning of fun is (and no it doesn't involve bulbadox powder, Fred and George). He doesn't exactly have a good time at home which is why Kenneth is always seen around the castle during holidays, except summer obviously.
Oh! He's a Prefect and he's also a member of the Drama Club.

just wanted to apologise to anyone who i owe comments to or there was plotting with. i don't know what it is but it's like my body has been running on like auto or whatever. and then today, i just feel like a walking zombie. and logically i totally knew it was thursday, but my body (and even mind at times) was like 'nah, mate, it's totally the weekend'. only theory i have is a lack of good proper sleep'(i've never really been able to go to bed early without waking in the middle of the night) and going from calm to stressing back to calm and on about my leg healing properly.

so i just want to take a mini hiatus to just try and catch up on sleep and just generally let my body relax. i'll still try and comment here and there (and catch up on comments i owe).

anyway as for what characters will be up to.

Well Cass will be his prefectly self... he'll also be mildly enjoying Flying Club if it's on... and hard to believe, but he'll prolly be taking the Model ICW seriously and maaaaybe do a little research (I promise nothing!) (ps: i can't seriously call it MICOW without giggling like a loon)... of course, (though hoping will be feeling rested by then) on saturday he's gonna end up splinched, poor thing, and be laid up in hospital.

Rémy will be hanging with his fellow BB friends, and also spending time with Samir. and also helping Anais convince their friend that he should sign up for the Model ICW as Switzerland.

As for Allegra... well, friends, classmates, dormmates will have noticed by now she looks miserable. they'll also be aware, even though they remain uniformed, something's wrong simply because Allegra's not being her usual bossy self... so people can feel free to comment on that (especially if aforementioned people also know Cormac too).

so um yeah... i'm still around i just won't be active-active is all.

addendum: thinking on it a bit more, one of the problems i need to face is finding something else that will keep my mind active. preferrably something that would actually get me out of the house and into fresh air... or the fresh air of a classroom or something

you two are just way too dramatic. mucho sadface for me and the allegramuse.

so when it comes to posting as my characters i'm fine when i've got plot or some idea in mind, but can't just keep a character going just by that - it'd get a little staid after all. so that's where 'small talk' (like Hamish's latest post, as an example) posts come in... only problem is that sort of post is where i tend to utterly fail. especially when it comes to having a character, like Cassius here, who isn't really the talkative sort.

so my first question/request is if anyone wants to have some plot happening with the more handsome Warrington-Fraser twin (or if you just have any ideas)? XD

and secondly, if you face similar problems of not being able to do 'small talk' posts what is it you do to get a post out?

I thought I ought to give you all a heads up that I'm about to change Allegra's icons to a new set of Bella Heathcote icons. Now you're thinking "she doesn't need to tell us this", well I do really - mostly because of the fact that instead of the usual long curly/wavy hair that she has now, her new icons will show dead straight hair with bangs.

anyway as a sort of explaination, Allegra got it into her head during Hogsmeade Weekend (after this happened) that apparently it was time for a change and went and got her hair done. and considering it a rather drastic change, I'm sure her friends would've noticed.

also speaking of that chat with Cormac, Allegra would've been rather withdrawn and quiet and trying her best to avoid questions of 'are you okay?' and the like. i say this mostly because when i try to do backdate entries myself i get rather confused in the grand scheme of things.

...i'll try and shut up now.

So this was something I was talking to Patricia about and was kind of supposed to post after she'd done the modly post about the Ball... but things got in the way and it got waylaid.

Anyway...

This post is two-fold.

1. I wanted to show off the dress I chose for Allegra.
   
2. And I figured (and Patricia agreed) that having a resource post could be helpful.

Sooo in showing off this is what Allegra shall be wearing (with her hair possible like this).

1) M Label: has quite a few pretty dresses that could be considered dress robes. Best option is to click shop and look through there, since many of the dresses in that section ahve photos from different angles giving you a better idea of the dress.

2) Polyvore: is a pretty good site if you're willing to spend the time searching. The thing that makes this one good is that if you click on create, you can make a set that includes everything from the dress to the shoes and everything else. But like I said it can be a little time intensive trying to find the right thing, but it can work.

At the moment they're the only two off the top of my head... so hope it can be helpful... and if you have any links or want to show off your character's dressw robes please do. XD

don't worry this isn't a hiatus note. just a quick note to apologise for being somewhat absentee this week. had big physio on monday which involved going up/down these steps outside where i take physio... and that was done about 5 or 6 times, so safe to say i was sore for the rest of the day. only problem is it's also meant i've been spectacularly sore in my right leg (the one I broke about 7 months back) since then too... and well it hasn't exactly put me in the best of moods... especially since it's still hurting when i go to bed and so haven't gotten much in the way of proper sleep. so have been somewhat cranky and stuff, and haven't wanted to push that onto anyone else (...i'm an emotional bottler :/).

anyway will be back to proper now hopefully... especially since a certain someone has to ask another to the ball.

....only this someone won't get turned down. luckily.

okay so I know alison is aware of the situation... mostly cause she's had two of her characters comment. but I figured i'd post this note here so that any one else in their houses and those who are aware that Cormac and Allegra are close friends, are aware of said situation.

so with the first task, Allegra was naturally super-worried (ie: FREAKING OUT!) about her cousin Cedric, even after the event and knowing that he was going to be okay. everyone was pretty okay about it... except y'know Cormac who just had to go and be an arse about it. it got to the point where Allegra was that upset that she said she doesn't want to talk to Cormac anymore. [Evidence here]

as consequence, she hasn't talked to him since and prolly won't for a while, so any friends or whatever are bound to notice something is up. especially since Allegra is particularly mopish, since for the longest time she's had a crush on Cormac but never told him, so she's got all these conflicting feelings...

and um yeah... since i'm not the best person when it comes to explaining (i tend to ramble), feel free to ask any questions if you want something clarified.

So he's finally here! *cue Kermit flailing of arms* YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! This will sadly probably be my last character, because i am so abominably slow with apps. Anyway recap... I'm Julie, 28, from Australia and currently an at home person as I've been recovering from broken ankle/leg for past 6 months but hoping to possibly get back to TAFE next year to get back into Graphic Design. Here at AG I'm the deputy mod, not that I've been much of one of late, and my other two characters are Allegra Flint (Slytherin, Fifth Year) and Cassius Warrington (Slytherin, Sixth Year)... er, no i don't have a thing for playing Slytherins. >.>

This here is Rémy Laurent. He's a 7th Year from Beauxbatons; more specifically the 7B class. Er, he does actually have a middle name, but in trying to finish the app off I haven't had a chance to properly think of what it ought to be.

Rémy is a naturally charming, friendly, easy-going type of person. Generally never has a bad word to say about anyone, and that's including people he doesn't like. (OMG don't you just hate him now?) He's the sort of person that prefers the quiet rather than say go to a Quidditch match. He is a completely hopeless romantic (but he's not going to sit around waiting for Prince Charming).
He looooves music! Loves singing and playing his guitar. He's also pretty good with drawing/sketching, but doesn't really pursue it seriously.

As for family he sadly has no siblings, but he's okay with that. His mother, Françoise, is an artist, who despite being muggleborn deals mostly in magical portraiture, murals and landscapes rather than muggle art. His father, Guillaume, helps runs his family's business... which I've yet to figure out what it is except that it leaves the family being moderately wealthy. :/

So where might you see Rémy? Well he's taking Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Charms, Potions and Transfiguration. So if you take those clases you'll see him around. He's also in the Choir and Drama clubs; and is grateful that the foreign students have been allowed to join. So yay.

Sadly for the girls sighing about French boys, this one is gay... buuuuut there is a bit of plottage where poor Samir thinks that Rémy is straight because he's always seen being friendly with this girl... but that's just Rémy's natural state. The only things we've (Patricia and I) have really figured out (but cant decide on) is a) the poor girl in question doesn't realise that Rémy isn't because well one he's gay and two he kind of has his eye on someone else; or b) the girl is simply one of his Beauxbatons friends.... so kind of have to decide on that.

And to stop myself from rambling on and on I'll end things here, only to say that am totally up for any plot. So friends/frenemies/enemies/whatever apply within. And if you want to read more on the boy just go here.

EDIT: So I realised I forgot to mention whereabouts Rémy comes from/lives. Right so Rémy (when not at school) lives with his parents in a smallish wizarding area in Montpellier in the Languedoc-Rousillon region. Ended up choosing Montpellier because a) sooooooo so pretty, b) er future plottage reasons. >.>

This morning, Snape will interrupt sixth years Charms and ask Cassius Warrington and Hamish Fraser to pack their things and follow him. He won't say anything more, but the nod he gives to Flitwick (they're the twins' heads of house, remember) will show to anyone in the room that this is something they were both expecting. Cass and Hamish won't show up for lunch or for their other Tuesday class (double Transfiguration at 1pm) and any housemate who goes to their dorms will notice that a considerable amount of stuff is missing from their spots, as if they had packed in a hurry. If anyone is playing a character who has a free period at 9am, feel free to have them witnessing the twins being escorted to the school gates by Snape.

Those close to Cass and/or Hamish will easily guess the reason why they left school grounds in such a hurry, and why they had to go to Hogsmeade to reach their destination rather than use floo powder: their mother is having her baby, and since the Warrington-Fraser household is still waiting to have their fireplace connected to the floo network the boys will need to catch the Knight Bus at Hogsmeade to reach Inverness. Thankfully it's a quick trip, so they won't have to endure much of Ern's driving. Hamish at least remembered to pack his journal, so once they have news - and their nerves have settled - they'll post something.

Edit: Oh, and they'll be gone for the rest of the week and come back on Sunday.

Hello all. Julie here with her second character, Cassius Warrington-Fraser. He's a sixth year Slytherin, and a prefect to boot. He also happens to be Hamish Fraser's twin (cause like it wasn't obvious already what with them looking alike)... er though to be honest I don't know which one is the 'eldest' cause I don't think Patricia and I were really bothered.

Up until the early part of his first year at Hogwarts he was under the impression he was a Pureblood, but as it turns out he was actually Halfblood (pureblood witch for mum and a muggle dad). Then it got all very The Parent Trap... but then things were resolved and today they're one happy family. Although Cass is of the opinion that he can't wait til their Mum isn't pregnant anymore and no longer being she of the crazy hormones. ...well, that and he doesn't like to think of his parents still having sex.

Despite the popular theory, he's actually a decent guy... he just doesn't show it all that often. Plus I think he likes being able to surprise people or something. It's no surprise the guy loves Quidditch or that his favourite team is the Falmouth Falcons.
His best/favourite classes are DADA and Charms; having been taught from a young age all the theory relevant to those particular subjects (it's probably the only thing he'd be begrudgingly grateful to his grandparents for).

well actually got back on saturday but have not really had a great deal of energy. seemed like i had the car equivalent of jet lag (five hour trips in a car are not fun) and that plus a headache have been me kind of :/

anyway allegra and myself are back now and raring to go. ...and obviously get that other app done.

patricia already knows. but i figured I better let the rest of you know that I'll be gone thursday/friday and possibly the rest of the weekend, though not too sure about that. it all depends on how the mini op goes to remove two screws from my ankle (about five months ago i fell from a ladder and broke my leg, but at the same time also happened to dislocate the ankle... so yeah).

so fingers crossed it all gets done and i don't have to stay too long at hospital (it's supposed to be a day op, if they do the anaesthetic by epidural (rather than the whole tube down the throat) i should be out in the afternoon they reckon).

Hey all. Julie here with Slytherin 5th Year, Allegra Flint.

As Patricia said I'm the deputy mod (although I think extraordinaire is a stretch) ... anyway with the exception of one or two people I think I've pretty played with you all at one time or another, though for some it's been quite a long while.

A few of you might remember Allegra from Absolution, and she's pretty much the same... only now she has a proper Cormac to tease and sass now. XD
Anyway for those of you who don't know her as well:

Her older brother is Marcus Flint. Oh yeah, she's also the cousin of one Cedric Diggory. And she's known Cormac McLaggen for what seems like forever.

Speaking of Cormac, they're something like sort-of-best friends. Which is something of a problem since Allegra has a crush on the guy but he doesn't ever seem to notice it.

She loves animals, although she's not the sort of animal lover that's always going on about them. At home she has an Aethonan named Augustus, Auggie for short; an albino bloodhound named Tiberious; and a Tawny owl (the only one that can come to Hogwarts with her) named Fidget.

Sometimes goes nogtail hunting with her Dad and brother. Never with Cormac though cause he's an idiot who doesn't think girls can hunt.

Her classes are: Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, Transfiguration

And oh yeah, she's a Prefect this year.
