Can you find a hotel or an inn of some kind near you? The person working the desk might be familiar with the area. A church isn't a terrible idea either.

There is no inn. There is a house of rest but the ladies tell me it is only for gentlemen, unless I 'swing like that'. I do not swing, so I wait outside.
