Oh dear...
Who: Maeko, Smisa
What: I don't even...
Where: Girls' dorm bathrooms.
When: Lunchtime.
Why: Communication issues and also one of them is a shadow.

Maeko vaguely remembered something that Kozue had mentionned about using that room to skip tennis practice. Using it to cut class was probably a little worse. She'd sat down and stared hard at maths handouts and waited for lunch, when she could conceivably sneak back out of school.

Lunch came but not before maths had lost its great mind-focussing elsewhere power and those hand shadows had forcefully stopped her from scratching her hands again. She escaped school with the crowd who were going home for lunch and ran back to the dorm. She dashed into the closest bathroom, she needed to change her bandages again before anything else.

Kanaye growled a bit, but smiled none-the-less. "You have a point. You are telling me about this later, after all. Good job on the biting, though. That's one way to deal with it." he said, smiling. "It's just...I'm kind of worried about you. She's obsessed with you, and I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to rape you. I'm your boyfriend. Naturally I'd object to that." Kanaye really didn't know what a boyfriend should naturally do, considering that all of his ideas of romance came from fiction, but he assumed that it was a given.

Masami took Misaki's shadow getting knocked down as a chance to turn and run away as well. They needed to regroup, get everyone together in one place. Then they could hear the whole story and probably head into Paradise to bring the real Misaki out.

As she turned she sheathed her katana, and then grabbed Toshimi's arm as she ran by, in case for some reason the other student wouldn't run of her own volition. It was probably a moot point, but again, you never could be too safe when dealing with shadows.

She had been trying not to think about that!

Desire to run off and lock herself in her room and never, never emerge again only help back by the fact that said room was in very close proximity to Misaki right now, shee forced herself to just nod and agree.

"...naturally." She repeated. "I can see why it might be objectionable."

I'm...just kind of worked up." he apologized, stopping to bow a bit and slow down somewhat, changing from a full out dash to merely fast walking. "This is worse for you then it is for me. Nayuki wasn't exactly the fastest man on Earth, but he's able to run quite a distance without breaking a sweat. The only problem with it, was that being as fast as he is, he ended up getting left behind by everyone else. Kanaye even ran ahead of him, and he knew they were headed for the same destination. The satchel was probably another factor to consider with his overall landspeed. Had he been on his bike, however, then it would be an entirely different story. Another message came through from Maeko, and it specified which part of the Girls' Dormitory they were to actually attempt a rescue on. He placed the phone back in his pocket and, upon reaching the Girls' Dormitory wing, scaled the stairs up to the floor Maeko indicated.

It just struck Nayuki as strange though, when Masami ran past him with Toshimi in-tow, heading for the opposite direction. A few seconds later, Kanaye ran past, carrying Maeko in his arms. And by the time his brain processed everything, he found himself standing in front of Misaki. Or, to be precise, her Shadow Representation. He bit his lower lip in frustration, realizing the implications of the Shadow's appearance. He holds out his arm to one side, clutching his satchel clear from his body, as he stood ground. "Where is she?" From what was told to him just a few days ago, he knew that this doppelganger can only be here if the original person had been trapped in paradise. He poised for a possible attack from the Shadow, hoping he'll be fast enough to use his bag as a buffer. "Where have you taken Aoi-san?"

Tom appeared behind Nayuki, and examined the new kid. If he was demanding to know where Shadow Misaki had taken Aoi, then he was probably in on the whole thing. Also that persona user sight. He put a hand on the boy's shoudler.

"She won't tell you."

Tom took a few steps forward.

"You should go with the others, they'll be discusisng the things you need to know."

Kozue had always hated sprints in tennis and in gym, but at least she had practice. This much running was unpleasant as hell, but at least now that she really needed to fly from point A to point B, she could do it. Although by the time she got to the dorm she had to take a break to stop, breathe, and make a few undignified gasps for air.

She whipped out her phone and sent a reply to Maeko's text: [Where are you? Still in bathroom?] A pause. [Not stabbed?] She hit send.

"Oh please, Nayuki-kun, is this some sort of joke? You're really going to expect me to just tell you something like that? What are you babbling about. This is me! It's always been me, I just...had an inspiration and went with it." Laughed the shadow. "Though I must say I loved your pep talk. So sweet and careing. One of the few NICE things people said to me."

She glanced over at Tom, "Why Thomas, you're still following me around? Oh this is amusing? Finally everyone wants to be around me and they care sooo much!" Misaki hugged herself. "It's like one big family now! I'm going to make you all every so happy!"

Toru had chased after Kozue, far slower than the tennis player. By the time he caught up with her, she had already stopped and was texting, presumably with a teammate.

Gasping for breath, Toru inquired, "D-did... you *gasp* get here *pant* in time? *gasp*" He took the time to catch his breath a little more. It, however, did very little. "M-more... importantly... is... everyone... okay?"

	Maeko followed Kanaye out quietly, finally putting the knife away. She hadn't spoken since answering Kanaye. "Thank you for responding so quickly." She mumbled, waving. "Sorry for the panic, I'm not hurt or anything..." She turned, motionning back. "Tonbo-san and Sagaki-senpai are still in there...are they going to be okay?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kanaye didn't really believe the "I'm not hurt" part, but he wasn't going to bring it up in front of people. He merely smiled. "It's part of our job, Maeko-chan. It's what we do." he said happily.

He shrugged. "They have Tom in there. I think that he can take care of himself, and probably Nayuki as well. There's nothing we should be worried about." he said before turning around again. "We need to get to butterfly place so we can plan things out, and learn how to rescue her."

Kanaye started walking, then paused. "You sure you alright, Maeko-chan? If you can't or don't want to go to the meeting, we'll understand." he said calmly.

"If people didn't already give reasons for leaving class, I think I can get the councellor to cover for us. We're the outreach group and Misaki's got attempts at self-harm on her record. If I tell him I called everyone out because she mentionned suicide people should be excused this once, I'll just get chewed out for not informing the right people. I guess it'd mean that Misa-chan won't be given too much trouble by teachers when we get her back, too."

Maeko's voice became stronger as she figured out what she was trying to say. So what if she was coming up with this plan on the spot? It was keeping her from thinking about anything else.

"...I'll need to visit the pharmacy before we go anywhere else. I used my bandage to lock the door and my hands..." She trailed off. Misaki hadn't attacked at a very convenient time.

This had already been a really, really strange day.

Considering Tom had all but bodily dragged him away from his girlfriend, and then ran off to go do God knew what, Keiichi was thoroughly confused.

Said confusion was made worse by the fact that he now saw Maeko, Kanaye, Toshimi, and Masami charging down the dorm hallways.

"What the Hell is going on today," he whispered. Right now, two of the four were people he didn't want to see, but SOMETHING was evidently wrong here. Very wrong.

"I...." he began, looking at the four of them. "What's going on? Something's..."

	Kanaye walked over to Keiichi with a serious look on his face. "You alright, Keiichi-san?" he asked before sighing. "Misaki's become a shadow. A murderous, violent, rapist shadow apparently. "You know, that would explain why Tom punched me in the face when I wouldn't go away from her..."

He rubbed the side of his face thoughtfully. Yeah, that went a long way towards explaining that.

"What's exactly happened, though? I mean...she seemed pretty normal with me today. A bit more, err, trying to get me to spend time with her, but that's not that odd for her..."

Kanaye smiled deviously. "Yeah, it isn't that odd for her. The odd thing is the fact she acted like that to EVERYONE. She tried to feel me up, she kissed Tom in front of the whole school, and, worse of all, she kissed Maeko, which means I have to kill her." he said happily. "There's also the part where, after Maeko bit her lip when she kissed her, Misaki spread some of her blood on my lips and said that I should thank her for giving me an indirect kiss with Maeko. It's freaking creepy..." Kanaye shuddered.

He straightened up, looked at Keiichi, and smiled. "So how are you?" he asked.

Keiichi was quiet for a few moments. Looking Kanaye in the eyes, it was pretty evident that the elder boy wasn't making this up.

"...sounds like you all have had an interesting day, then." He really didn't know what the Hell to say to all of this, "I wonder why she hasn't been terrorizing me, then. If she's gone after everyone else....:"

This was all so very ODD, and it also made him wonder about some things. The Tanabata festival...even asking Misaki out. Just how long had she been a Shadow?

Kanaye wagged a finger at Keiichi. "Most likely, because she wants attention and love. You're GIVING her attention and love, so she has no problems with you. Maeko, on the other hand, was giving her attention and love, but stopped, which is why Shadow Misaki tried to kill her. Or something like that." he finished, shrugging. "Either way, beating the crap out of Shadow Misaki is going to be enjoyable."

Keiichi shook his head. "Considering what you're telling me, this is the most blatant attack we've ever suffered outside of Paradise. That doesn't fill my heart with joy for what we're going to find inside."

Part of him had always thought Aoi was too nice. Too unassertive. And now look what was happening...

"She's probably had this building up in her forever. I'm not looking forward to this at all."

Kanaye nodded seriously. "Yes, I am aware. Quite frankly, this is going to suck, considering how long she's been holding this in." Kanaye said, shuddering. "And considering she seems to be crazier about Maeko then even me, this is going to be hell on earth for me. On the other hand, I get to beat the crap out of her. So it's a fair trade." he finished, nodding sagely.

"You're taking this better then I expected, really." Kanaye said, quirking an eyebrow. "I mean, I drunk myself into several stupors when Maeko became a shadow, and I wasn't even her boyfriend at this point. This says something."

"It's...different," he reasoned, shaking his head. "I don't hold anyone responsible for what they do or say when they're...you know."

Doing so would be simply unfair, considering how exaggerated Paradise seemed at times.

"We have to get her out of there, obviously. But...it's just really weird. If it was really her, I'd be a lot more..."

His voice trailed off. It was hard to formulate a real coherent statement at this point.

Kanaye nodded thoughtfully. "It would be nice if I could think that, but..." he trailed off, looking at Keiichi. "Maeko-chan herself said that she thought some of the things that her shadow said. Toru DID turn out to be gay, and Kou and Kiriko both have problems. We have to assume that shadows, at least, come from their real selves somehow." Kanaye said before he shrugged. "OR I could be a moron. One of the two, and let's face it, Keiichi-san." Kanaye joked happily, "it's the safer bet to vote for the second one, right?"
