Who: The marauders!
Where: Their dorm
What: Sirius is being a detective
When: Probably no earlier than lunchtime, because they definitely sleep in
Raiting: PG 13 for swearing?
The wasn't the first time Sirius had noticed a lack in Prongs and Moony. The first time he hadn't thought much of it - perhaps they were studying or talking about Lily. Merlin knows Sirius loathed talking about Lily. However things were different this time. Almost all of Gryffindor was missing, and that left Sirius confused. He had never been 'left out' before, and a weird feeling had overcome him. The best case scenario was that they were planning a surprise party, but then why wouldn't Peter know? James had said they would explain it, so Sirius was a bit less worried. It couldn't be anything terrible, right?
When James had told Sirius to meet him, Sirius wasn't actually in Gryffindor. Lately he had taken to walking around, mostly to see how many pretty girls he could spot. Today his count was at seven, and he knew six of their names. He thought that was pretty good! Sirius would often find a nice ledge, sit on it, and pretend to be writing in his journal. He looked sensitive and caring, and all the things he wasn't. Regardless, he had gotten James' message, and hurried home.
Nodding at a few people in the common room, Sirius bounded up the stairs, taking two at a time. Bursting into the dorm, he was pleased to find they were all there. "Afternoon," Sirius greeted. He wasn't very good at holding grudges, and the temporary anger he'd felt was gone. Of course, he had no idea what they were about to tell him, much less the fury of emotions he would soon go through.
