The tone of the conversation had gone sour rather quickly and Remus felt his heart-rate rising a bit with the anxiousness. He was rather foul when it came to arguing and had never really encountered a situation with the other three that required such. The feeling that they could possibly be right at the edge of such was maddening.
He waited for James to state the intentions before he felt even the slightest bit at ease. As soon as he knew the reason for their meeting, he could think more clearly on how to try to help it run smoothly. He sighed a bit, shaking his head as he noted the angry tone in Sirius’s voice and the bitter one in Peter’s.
“Do you truly think we’d hide something from you both unless we thought it was completely necessary? Give us a bit more credit, guys. You know we trust you, but it wasn’t our information to tell. Until now,” he said quietly.
