Because I am currently incapable of lying. You can ask me any question at all, and I have to tell the 100% honest to God truth.

But you don't seem to know anything worth asking after. All you've said is a few things that aren't even possible.

I just want to go home.

Come now, Mycroft. You know as well as I that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Simply look outside and tell me what you see then consider my position once more.

Don't use my own logic against me. I haven't even eliminated the possible yet. This could all be chalked up to some sort of mass hallucination or some sort of expiri experiment or any number of things that make more sense than simply taking your word for it.

Yes, of course, because hallucinations are solid and allow communication through outside means.

I've only your word to take that you're solid or that this is even an outside means.

Always so stubborn. Like I said, look outside. Take in the details. Then make your own conclusion. I'll be here to correct you when you come to the wrong one.

Fine. I can believe this is the future and a place I've never been to before but why would whatever is responsa responseb in charge want to make me younger again and, more important, how? It doesn't make any sense.

Why would it want to make me tell nothing but the truth, or turn me into a girl, or force me to marry someone I don't even know, or turn me into an angel?

It's bored, clearly.

You aren't meant to be the older brother. I barely know what to do and I'm the one that

Have I been a good brother? I know I don't play very much but that's only because I don't want you to expect other children to overlook how we are when you're old enough to

Are you sure you know what to do?

I'm used to being the younger, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Ignore Sherlock.

You're not a pain and he always provokes the overprotective part.

I'm John Watson, a friend of his.

He's my brother. I can't ignore him. I wouldn't, even if I could.

He has to tell the truth so I must be a pain, at least according to him.

It's nice to meet you, sir.

Well, don't ignore him all together, but don't let what he says upset you. He's terribly insensitive even when he isn't forced to be honest.

To be fair, Sherlock finds most people to be pains in some way or another. One of the pitfalls of his genius. He thinks a lot more of you than he does of most people.

It's very nice to meet you too. I know you when you're older, of course, but this is a bit different. And please, call me John.

He's a kid, he doesn't need to know that he's an overprotective pain. He needs to know that he hasn't totally screwed up. In a nice way. Nice.
