I'm going to tell you a secret now that Sherlock would be very cross with me for sharing. He doesn't think you're an awful older brother. He just really enjoys being a bratty younger brother and pushing your buttons.

That's how he is. I'm his best friend and he regularly tells me I'm an idiot. It's his misguided way of showing affection.

But don't tell him I told you that.

It isn't rude if the adult says that it's okay. Please, I insist.

Oh. He does? I'd always hoped we'd be friends when we were older since I can't ever make any of my own in school or Back home he just follows me around, asking after the names of things and how to say them.

But my mum says grown-ups only want me calling them by their first name so they'll think of me as an equal since I'm smarter than they are. All right. It's very nice to meet you then, John.
