What the heck's going on? I know it's a Saturday, but unexpected trips are still a bad idea. I swear I'm the only adult in this family.

( OOC: Say hello to AU Alaric. Isobel kept Elena, and still went to Duke and married Ric. Ric adopted Elena and they've been a happy family for a while now. He has no idea about vampires or anything like that, beyond Isobel's research and he's never been to Mystic Falls. )

I'm sorry. I mean...this is who I am. As far as I remember it's who I've always been. I don't know what to say, I've never even met you, but I am sorry that this is upsetting for you.

I mean, frankly everything you guys are saying sounds crazy. But I can't think of a reason why you'd be lying.

Just do me a favor and stay safe? You might not know me, but that's my husband's skin you're riding around in, and I'd like it back in one piece.

And I'm glad that, no matter the reality, Elena had a family who loved her.
