What the heck's going on? I know it's a Saturday, but unexpected trips are still a bad idea. I swear I'm the only adult in this family.

( OOC: Say hello to AU Alaric. Isobel kept Elena, and still went to Duke and married Ric. Ric adopted Elena and they've been a happy family for a while now. He has no idea about vampires or anything like that, beyond Isobel's research and he's never been to Mystic Falls. )

It's Jenna, right? Look, you seem like a nice person. And I can't imagine how hard this is for you. So I hope I go back to being whoever it is I'm supposed to be.

And I'm glad that, no matter the reality, Elena had a family who loved her.
