Dobson House Warming Party!
Who: Everyone
Where: Dobson manor
When:Week 4, Saturday, evening
Why: Housewarming party at Dobson manor.
Warning: Social party and getting to know each other, but no other warnings yet.

Tabitha took a deep breath as looked at herself in the mirror. In only a few minutes, her first party here at Beacon hills would begin. She'd spent the better part of the week ensuring the whole manor be washed and decorated properly in reds and gold.

All sorts of foods prepared and laid out beautifully beside an open bar filled with various alcohol and even some blood bags for the visiting vampires. Tabtiha made sure there was no expense forgone, no extravagance missed. This was going to be a party that was not quickly forgotten, she wanted to be sure of it.

Smoothing her hands over her cream colored dress one more time nervously, she stepped out of her room and down the grand staircase to greet her guests.

Buffy wasn't quite sure she'd ever get used to the amount of social functions she had to attend in Ambrose's world, but she certainly did enjoy the numerous chances to get his attention in the best of ways with the sort of dresses she got to pick out for them. He'd mentioned being fond of black and red, so the ensemble she'd chosen was a lovely red one that was just short enough to show off the legs he seemed to be fond of. She wore her blond hair mostly down and found that she was getting good at applying minimal amounts of make-up to make her disguise as a real girl be all that more compelling. Her lips matched her dress for the evening, and she didn't have to fake feeling like she looked damn good.

Her master, of course, always managed to pull off looking elegant and put together. Attached to his arm, she sometimes felt like he could pull off a pair of torn jeans and still convincingly carry himself like some sort of king.

Ambrose had let Buffy choose her outfit this time, a little sadden as he loved to surprise her with new clothes but she had choose well. She wore red like she was made for it. Ambrose on the other hand was was dressed a bit more casual(without a tie) in his light grey suit. Really it was Buffy that was the beautiful one and Ambrose was just there for the ride.

He had order in a basket perfect for the occasion. It had three bottles of some of the best wine, red, white, and a drier variety. There were other goodies included in the basket. "I don't think I have told you how lovely you look tonight." Well maybe he had not said it in the last twenty minutes. "That dress is breathtaking. You know how to wear those clothes so well."

Because Piper wasn't exactly sober enough to remember the time she'd spent with him looking somewhat put together, Emerson had met Gretchen halfway when she'd recommended putting on something nice. He had Piper on one arm and Lucien in tow, hoping he could instill some semblance of how to have fun without getting wasted into the kid. Lucien had been tasked with carrying the welcome basket he'd put together for the young witch's housewarming party. Only he knew what it contained, as it was the gift he presented to all the people who had housewarming parties on his watch: Several bottles of strong rum, a variety pack of condoms, chocolate syrup, and a home pregnancy test. There was, of course, no tag present on the gift.

Before they actually entered the home, the witch turned, looking to Lucien with a critical eye. "So, I'm gonna cut you loose for the night, but there are conditions, okay? You can drink. It's goddamn party after all, and I'm sure people younger than you will be. However, if you get pants-on-head hammered and act like an idiot or randomly leave with somebody without having the courtesy to let me know? My leniency and generosity is going to start to shrink. Got it?"

Piper was excited to be going out and about again under different circumstances. DeWitt would discover she didn't intend to leave his side unless he demanded it of her and was happy to think of it as some kind of date night. She was definitely floored when she saw him looking all put together and dapper and realized that Gretchen had them matching pretty well, classy casual. The brunette kept stealing looks at his attire and how well it fit him and displayed his best assets. She made a mental note to thank the crazy old woman for such a lovely gift.

Her hair was definitely the best part and had worked with her so well to look perfectly messy. Piper was taking in the grandeur of the house when she heard Emerson's tone go serious. Her brows raised in surprise as a small smile crept across her lips so when Lucien rolled his eyes and went on his own way, she leant into him and said low enough for only him to hear, "Careful, sir. You're playing on a girl's weaknesses and you'll find your nice suit all messed up before dinner if you aren't careful."

Jasper wasn't the sort to be too surprised at receiving odd invitation by magical means. He was more surprised that a social invitation had come to him in the new house quite so soon.

On turning up at Dobson Manor, in a privately rented car, the fae was dressed in a sharp black suit, with a white shirt, and an Italian tie in shot silk, resembling the colours of a magpie's wings; dark purples, greens and blues, almost black. He was keeping his particular transformational shape private for now, but he could never resist the strong contemporary contrasts of blacks with white.

He had the respect not to turn up empty handed either, and his driver carried a beautiful basket of yellow roses for Tabitha Stevens. Yellow roses signify happy times and friendship, more than anything romantic, and tucked in among the blooms, for Tabitha to find, was an expensive gemstone brooch. One which wasn't stolen, for a change. Not that the magpie-fae would ever give a stolen gift. He did have some scruples.

On arriving, he was handed a glass of wine, and was half looking around for the lady of the house, and half keeping an eye out for any useful social contacts.

Tabitha smiled as she politely excused herself from the current couple she'd been speaking with and glanced around. It was only polite to try to greet as many of her guests as possible, and that meant that she shouldn't stay too long with any of them.

Seeing a young man walk through the doors. She offered a polite smile and stepped towards him. "Good evening, so glad you could make it. I'm Tabitha Stevens, your hostess." She offered her hand to either gently take in greeting or kiss the top of like her grandmother always taught her.

Carrick puzzled to himself as he dressed for the evening in a slim-fitting black suit and eggplant-coloured tie.

Dobson. Had he heard that name before? Somthing about it seemed familiar, though he had a feeling he'd first heard it in a different form. He though vaguely that it had something to do with his time in France a couple of hundred years ago. Perhaps Dobson was an Anglicised version of the name.

These memory gaps of his were becoming frustrating. He supposed that no man could live through over 2000 years of history and remember everything, but nevertheless, it irritated him to be able to recall details of his life in from the Classical era and yet forget the names of those he had met only days or weeks before. Well, Karena could probably be relied upon to fill in the blanks.

When Lord Carrick arrived at the Dobson house, the party was already in full swing. He slipped silently inside, eyes moving slowly over the rich decorations of red and gold. The hostess obviously intended to make an impression.

Karena followed behind her sire, taking a quick look around. There were quite a few people here already and it seemed like a good place to actually socialize. She didn't want to become one of those strange hermit like vampires.

"Do you even know this woman?" the younger vampire asked, turning her head slightly to look at Carrick. "I don't recall you ever mentioning her name?"

Wherever there was booze, particularly the free kind, you were bound to get a visit from Roxanne and tonight was no exception. Having met Tabitha the other day she had figured that the housewarming thing might be rather fancy and formal and had intended to dress appropriately. The journey into her wardrobe had been full of good intentions and yet what she had come out with didn't exactly fit the bill. But meh, close enough.

Usually Roxy would make a beeline for the booze upon arriving at a party of any kind but she made an exception this time. She knew the hostess, sort of, plus she'd gotten her a housewarming gift plus some lavender smelling shit for her grandma. Old people loved lavender, plus it wards off evil which was always a bonus.

"Nice get together, Tabs" Roxy grinned at her friend and a rather shocked looking elder witch.

Tabitha heard one of the few voices that were familiar so far and smiled brightly as she turned to face her. "Roxy! I'm so glad that you could make it!" She immediately reached out to hug the other girl, despite her grandmother's look of horror plastered on her face.

"You look fantastic!" She giggled and stepped back to get a full look at the other girl. "I wish I were as bold as you. I'm glad you could make it though. I've been meaning to get together for that meal I offered."

After torturing Ambrose enough for the time being, Buffy had taken a moment to slip away and fetch some form of alcoholic refreshment for herself. It wasn't so much that anyone or anything was bothering her, but the sake had been fun! Besides, it was a party. Parties were supposed to be times to let loose and have fun. No one would notice if she was without her master for a drink or so.

The girl ordered something she heard a couple of the people before her order, and it sounded pretty hardcore. Whiskey sour. Definitely a tough guy sounding drink, and Buffy? Buffy was definitely a tough guy.

Evie had managed to slip away from under Lucius thumb, the man having been caught and distracted by some other master. She didn't know why she had to be glued to his side the entire evening. It wasn't like she could go anywhere. Not to mention that she probably wouldn't get very far in the ensemble she was wearing.

She had wandered around for a few moments before she spotted the girl from the clothing store. Buffy, she remembered. Not that anyone could really forget a name like that. She walked over and caught the blondes eye, giving a small smile in greeting.

"Do you mind if I hide out here next to you?" She asked, glancing around briefly. "I needed to get away from His Highness"

Karena had broken away from Carrick, letting him go mingle on his own so to speak. She had also allowed her pet to go off and explore the party on his own, knowing that he would be well behaved. Not quite ready to throw herself into the crowd the vampire sat down at the bar where she could just observe the interactions of others. She ordered herself a glass of bloodwine and just watched. It was amusing to see which people were truly having fun and which ones just seemed to be here for show, wanting to see if they could climb up the social ladder.

After Piper had made her escape from the conversation he'd been drawn into, Emerson had weaseled his way out of it too by assuring the others that he had to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble. Which was partially true, as much as he hoped she could take care of herself. He wanted to make sure she was alright, color him slightly paranoid after the vague hints he had about that night at Sinsations.

Still, there was always time for a quick drink. Ordering a whiskey on the rocks, Emerson leaned against the bar, reveling in the break from socializing if only for a moment.

Gifts had to be the best part of any party, and house warming gifts were no exception! Needing a small break from all the excitement, she managed to slip away with a few of the baskets to see exactly what she'd received. Careful of her dress, Tabitha sat down on one of the couches and picked up the first basket, one that seemed to be wrapped with a type of paper that made it impossible to discern the contents of it.

"Surprises first!" She giggled gleefully to herself, looking more like a child than a woman at that moment. With a careful tug of the ribbon holding it open, she opened it. What she didn't expect was the pregnancy test that dropped straight into her lap first, or the box of condoms that was beside them. "What in the name of Nyx is this??"

Emerson had been chatting with what seemed like the witch book club of Crescent Hills and while she was getting strange looks for being on his arm, she was also bored as all hell. So with a quick kiss on his cheek and whisper to find her when he was finished, she wandered about the house to fine another glass of champagne and delicious little hors d'oeuvres.

The house was beautiful enough to keep her interest, sipping from her glass and nibbling at her small plate as she took herself on a tour. Farther away from the crowd it got quieter and more peaceful which was nice just to collect her thoughts for a moment. It had been a helluva week and the brunette couldn't believe where she'd been and what she'd been doing just last Saturday night. Never again, Bowes.

A door was open and the room inside was empty, filled to the ceiling with books and a few desks and couches. There was ice, crystal glasses and brandy for the guests so Piper assumed the room wasn't off limits. She was looking at the row row of classics all embossed in gold when she heard movement behind her.

So Lucien did nick on of the bottles of booze. He took it outside so there was less of a chance of being caught. Grinning he opened the bottle and took a long swallow of the rum. "Damn." he muttered it was good. He found a good spot to sit down in the nice garden. He was not going to drink too much, just enough to get buzzed. He was going to be responsible and not make a fool of Emerson tonight, but just tonight. He took another long sip of the strong liquid.

All of a sudden he heard someone walking towards him. He capped the bottle and put it behind him, hoping it was not Emerson or Piper for that mater to come and check up on him. He was 19 and could take care of himself.

After leaving the comfort of his chair Ambrose ventured out into the garden. He had the alcohol in his blood and was excited about what he and Buffy were about to do. Really he should be more a gentle man and wait to get Buffy back home, but he could not wait. She needed to be taught a lesson and Ambrose was happy to be the teacher.

The garden was lovely at night and Ambrose walked to a secluded spot and waited for his pray to come out. Really it was silly to be hidden away but he couldn't help himself, he felt a little dramatic tonight.

After she and Buffy had separated, Evie had stayed at the bar for a little longer. She watched the slaves cling to their masters and the Masters talking amongst themselves like they were the most important things on the universe. It made the girl want to roll her eyes, but she behaved herself. Not because she didn't want to embarrass Lucius, but because there were others who were actually pretty scary.

After a few more drinks the girl started to feel a bit fuzzy. It wasn't bad and she decided she actually kind of liked it. Feeling bored of being a wallflower she got up and decided to wander more. After bumping into someone with a giggled apology she finally made it outside. She enjoyed fresh air she remembered and was just happy to be out of a place with four walls. Plus it was quiter. She wanted to sit on the grass but she knew his highness would probably scold her for ruining the dress he had bought her. So instead she sat on a nearby bench and looked up, content to just gaze at the stars.

Lexi was relaxing in the slave room. He didn't mind to be here while Jasper was mingling. It was just nice to get out and maybe he could met people. Being a slave he would probably met human slaves, but just someone to talk to would be nice.

He leaned back in one of the chairs in the room. Really he was feeling so much better than he had on Monday, the day after he was beaten to a pulp, he even had given his first true lie and almost smarted off to his master. Lexi looked around at the few slaves that were also in the room, but no one seemed to want to talk. He ran a hand over his collar, tracing the designs. He was probably one the few new slaves that welcomed something like this.
