I cant keep my plant alive

and i failed a math test

Okay, so I won't get caught up in the religion vs. government status of it all, but I don't think your Dad is going to expect you to go out and get a 9-to-5, and Uncle Sam can't legally make you start paying taxes.

There's plenty of adults who can't keep a plant alive and would fail a math test if you sat them down with one today. I think you're doing just about normal at the being an adult thing already.

You wouldn't have failed that test if you'd studied when I told you to.

But there's a big difference between being responsible and taking care of yourself versus like....actually being bad.

It does make sense in the real world, that's why word problems are important.

I mean, Dad would probably be okay with it. Or you could live with me and we'd figure out the stuff you're good at.
