Imagine that you're dying. You don't know how long you have β€” minutes, at best. What are your last words, if you could choose them? (For those of you who have died β€” hi, same β€” pick something else.)

My last words were written in my own blood, but I suppose if I were to die again, it would depend on the circumstances of my death, just as it did the first time.

Theatrical. I'm actually jealous.

Out of curiosity, what did you write?

I am not who wrote the words, but my daughter. She had quite the flare for the dramatic. In some aspects, she took after me.

What would you pick?

I'm positive mine the first time around weren't that great. Don't remember them, but they were probably the standard.

I'm trying to sort that out. This is mostly an exercise in creative exploration β€” or mania. It's debatable.

Yes, but if you could choose, what would they be? Everyone's is mostly boring.

Confidence. A bit of mystery. I like it.

How did it happen the first time?

I don’t even remember but considering it was only going to be temporary I doubt it was profound.

If it happens again I’ll probably stop mid sentence.

It's rarely profound for anyone.

If you had time to finish your sentence, then. What would it be?

Disappointing, but not surprising.

Alternatively: do you consider yourself alive now?

Ooh. You were both dying. Poetic. And you took the opportunity to goad.

This is one of the better ones.

I was told they were "On your feet General. This is no place to die". Which sounds far more legendary than it was at the time.
