Danica had gotten used to having someone in her bed at all times now. Eyes closed, she held Kara close, the blonde's head tucked under her chin so that her beautiful space goddess had the song of her heart to find comfort in and sleep. With her arms wrapped firmly around the other girl's waist, she kept the pillows around them in a perfect set up so that they felt secured. This was one of the night Danica slept, though she had made it a habit to lay with Kara every night with eyes closed to meditate and be with her lover.

Today was a special day. Wonder Woman had conversed privately with Kara the night before when Danica had gone out to 'run an errand' for her mother. Wonder Woman had revealed that today was Danica's birthday. While Diana had wanted to spend the day with her daughter alone, she also knew that Danica was not willing to spend the day without Kara. Asking Kara to spend the day with her daughter, the older heroine had humbled herself and hoped that the blonde would honour her request. The day after, Diana would take them both out on the town as another gift to Danica.

Now, Danica didn't know about this. Nor did she know about Kara's plans. The dark haired goddess only knew one thing that morning. That Kara was in her arms, and that was all she could ask for.

Stephanie had been going to school and living with Chrissy for the past month. Waking up on Saturday mornings was currently one of the best things in life!

Rolling over onto her side, she snuggled back into Chrissy, enjoying the feeling of the older girl draped around her. Closing her eyes, Stephanie waited for her older counter part to wake up. Today was the first day they were going out to patrol...well, tonight.She didn't know what time Chrissy was planning on!

Shaking her head slowly, Kara was still in a daze. Reaching out, she snagged Danica's sleeve. Clinging to it, the loss of Chrissy to stare at as the other girl left with Robin was slowly bringing her back around.

"No. Can...can we go sit down now?"

Heading towards the actual theaters, Chrissy gave their tickets to the employee and then led them to the correct theater. Entering, she started walking down the stairs when a swarmy young man stepped in front of them.

"Do you want to sit on my fingers of love?" He asked, making wriggling motions with his hands and smooches with his lips.

With her hands full, Chrissy's leg snapped up and clocked him under the chin. Eyes rolling back in his head, he fell and tumbled down the stairs to the bottom. Continuing on, she turned into a row, headed to the middle, and sat down.

"Will there be explosions?"

Nodding, Danica led her to the theater, hoping it was the right one. She was new to this thing. And she was worried it was stressing Kara out too much.

Going into the correct theater, she chose seats that were spaced in a good position to have an awesome view of the screen while still being close to the exit just in case.

"These chairs are quite comfy...whoa." The chair reclined when Danica hit the button. Grinning, she hit Kara's too, so that the girl was laying next to her.

Stephanie was taken aback when the dude jumped in front of them, and even more shocked when Chrissy kicked him and continued on like nothing had happened.

Couldn't they get in trouble for that?

Not realizing they chose the row behind Danica and Kara, luckily they were at the end, where Stephanie couldn't see them yet. Not unless she turned around.

Following in a daze, Kara jumped whenever someone passed too close to her. Shaking again, she was anxious to sit down. She noticed Chrissy though...her X-ray vision could see through almost everything, and she could smell her former friend.

"We should be very quiet," she began to tell Danica.

Then she was falling backwards in her chair. Letting out a scream, heads turned to see what the fuss was about throughout the theater.

Getting no answer from Steph, Chrissy set down the popcorn and candy on the empty chair next to her's. Turning towards her girlfriend, she helped her get the drinks situated in the cup holders, then kissed her. Her kissing was interrupted by a scream though.

"Kara?" She gasped, standing up and turning to look.

"Why is that?"

Danica hadnt put the chair all the way back, just enough for Kara's legs to be up and she would be laying back some. But it proved too much. "Sorry." She apologized quickly, sitting up to make sure she was okay.

She should have thought that one through...waiting until Kara settled down again, Danica was silently beating herself up.

Steph was being kissed. Which she didnt mind. Kissing was good.

"Kara?" She asked, confused for a moment. Oh! "Wh-what?"

Kara never got a chance to answer. Pale, this was more then she could handle! Everyone was staring at her. Shaking uncontrollably, the urge to rush home was overwhelming.

She could hear Chrissy talking, to Robin most likely. Were they making fun of her? Why had Danica done that...

"I thought I heard Kara."

Sitting back down, Chrissy knew that Steph would warn her if Kara was here. If Kara was here, then Danica wouldn't be far away. She was going to kill that Amazon someday.

"You didn't hear that?"

Danica felt guilty about making Kara's scream, so she took the fleece blanket provided at their side table and covered Kara at it. Wrapping putting her arm over the blonde's shoulders, the people started to look away uninterested.

She fell silent as she waited for Kara to be okay again, wallowing in the guilt she felt about making Kara scream. She took her jacket and put it in her lap, waiting for Kara to say something.

"No. I heard you say her name though, I thought you were thinking of her when kissing me." She said, oh that was a good one! Sitting back in her seat, she sighed and snuggled into Chrissy's side. How was she going to keep them from fighting?

Stephanie didn't care if Kara and Chrissy got to be best friends again. But she did care if Chrissy killed Danica.

Kara didn't say anything before the lights dimmed and the previews started. Still recovering, she was glad for the darkness. It helped hide her from the crowded theater. Still shaking under the blanket, the blonde wanted to scream again.

Instead, she bit Danica's shoulder...

"What?" Why would Stephanie think that? "I swear I heard her scream. Maybe I should go look for her..."

About to stand up, the lights dimmed and the previews began. What awful timing! What if Kara was in danger?

"Great," she grumbled.

Danica felt the bite. Keeping a straight face, the only sign of pain was the way her nose wrinkled for a moment before she settled down. Pulling Kara closer, she reached for her hand with her other hand and held it.

Danica could take pain...a sufficient amount, considering she was a goddess, so this was no sweat for her. Seeing the lights dim, she wondered what was going on as she waited for Kara to stop biting.

"Go ahead." Stephanie replied. Should she pull the jealous girlfriend act? Pulling away slightly, she didn't know what to do.

With Chrissy still standing as the lights dimmed, Stephanie took the blanket and pulled her legs up, curling up in it on her chair.

The bite didn't last long. Kara released Danica, feeling better. Feeling dizzy, she rested her head on her lover's shoulder. Unable to focus, her vision was blurry. Her panic attacks sucked...

"What movie are we seeing?" She asked, not having been paying attention.

"There! I heard her again!" Chrissy exclaimed.

Shushed by other patrons and told to sit down, the blonde instead leaped over their seats into the next row. Moving along it and pissing people off, she came face to face...with Kara and the bitch herself.

"Well, well...what do we have here."

"Um...Bourne Legacy?" Danica answered, tucking Kara's head under her chin where Kara could just rest. "The one with the guns and the chasing, and motorcycles." Smiling lightly, Danica had become quite fond of motorcycles lately.

Lacing her fingers through Kara's under the blanket, she was oblivious to the commotion behind them as she focused on the blonde.

"Chris, just sit down!"

She did not want to get kicked out! Attempting to grab her girlfriend, Chrissy jumped over the seats. Crap! Stumbling out of the blanket, she went after her.

Hearing someone a lot closer to them, Danica was going to tell the person to please leave, as she didn't want Kara agitated again, but then she realized who it was. Falling silent, she was not going to talk to Chrissy and make Kara mad at her.

Tilting her head, she heard her friend calling after the blonde between them.

"Hello, Stephanie." She said instead, seeing the young blonde flustered.

"Hey Danica, Kara." Grabbing Chrissy's arm, she could see one attendant moving towards them. "Come one, Chrissy. The movie's going to start." She urged, tugging on her arm.

Kara had no idea what that was. Slowly getting better, there was then someone nearby, speaking to them. Who? Why?

"Are you ready for a rematch yet, Wonder Bitch?" Chrissy snarled.

Ignoring Stephanie, Chrissy only had eyes for Danica. Her archnemesis...the one she was going to kill. Kara, hearing and seeing Stephanie, leapt up with superspeed and grabbed the young blonde by the throat. Choking her, Kara had a crazed look on her face.

"All...your...fault."

Danica wasn't ready for Kara's reaction, having expected something else to happen. Like a want to go home...

Gasping, she stood to help the youngest blonde, people around them shouting to stop already as Kara began to choke Stephanie. "Kara!"

Grabbing the blonde's wrists, she tried to pry them off. What the heck? "Kara, no. We are in public." She said softly, only able to keep Kara from crushing Stephanie neck...but only just. She felt weird...amd different.

Stephanie tried to help Danica pry Kara's hands off too! She couldn't breathe!

"What do you mean?" She coughed as Danica finally gont on hand off.

Chrissy hadn't expected Kara's reaction either. If someone was going to be targeted violently, she thought it would be here. Before she knew it, she was punching Kara in the face then in the gut to try to dislodge her grip on Steph.

"Let her go!" Chrissy screamed.

Tightening her grip, there was rage in Kara's eyes. But the look of fear on Chrissy's face made her relent and release Stephanie. Shoving the little twerp, she turned and started to leave. Chrissy grabbed for Stephanie, managing to catch her before she fell.

"Steph, are you alright?"

The punches wouldnt affect Kara much, both Stephanie and Danica knew that. Following Kara, Danica glanced back to make sure Stephanie wasnt severly injured before they rounded a corner and were back in the lobby.

"I'm fine." Stephanie replied, standing up after Chrissy caught her. Brushing off the hands, she went back to her seat. Why couldnt Chrissy just leave them alone? Wrapping the blanket around her, the crowd settled down, and Stephanie went to be sullen on her seat. A very Robin thing to do...

Danica was at a loss for words. Werent they not supposed to do that in public? Grabbing Kara's hand, she pulled her into an empty theater really quick. "What happened?" She asked, confused. Why had she gotten up and strangled Stephanie?

She was unaware of the two figures that appeared at the top of the seats in the theater.

Stephanie didn't look or sound fine! Dogging her girlfriend's steps back to their seats, she grabbed her purse and pulled out a small first aid kit. Taking a small tube of cream out, she squeezed some out onto her hand.

"Hold still, Steph."

Applying the cream to the already bruising neck, her girlfriend was lucky Kara didn't crush her windpipe or break her neck. The antibiotic cream also acted as a mild painkiller.

"Why did Kara go after you? She should have went after me."

Pulled into another theater by Danica, Kara shook her off. She didn't want to talk about it, she wanted to fight. Right now, she would fight Danica too.

"Forget it. Let's just go see a different movie."

Nearly choked to death wasn't an experience Stephanie enjoyed...at all. Feeling Chrissy start to fuss over her, she wanted to bat the hands away as well, but she knew the older blonde would be persistent. Feeling the pain leave the irritated skin, the younger blonde didn't want to be at the movies anymore...

"I don't know." She answered, not wanting to talk about it. The day was soured by this sudden turn of events for her, making her all moody. She didn't even know if she could enjoy the day anymore!

This was supposed to be their anniversary...not a reunion of pain.

Danica wanted to actually talk about it. That was an unprompted attack on Stephanie. About to say something, Danica jerked to the side, her arm moving out to instinctively push Kara aside as an arrow came from behind the blonde. Danica was barely fast enough, catching the arrow as it pressed against the skin of her shoulder.

Looking up, she found a familiar face...and unpleasant familiar face.

"Oh look, she can still catch them!" Came a girlish giggle, though it was mocking in nature and full of sneer. "Nice to see you again, baby sister. Did that one hurt?"

Danica looked at her shoulder where the arrow tip had touched. It had punctured her skin, which made her frown. It was an ordinary arrow! Looking to Kara, she didn't know what to do yet.

"This one's pretty," came a deeper voice, looking at Kara. Grabbing her by the shoulder, the taller, dark god pulled the blonde close. "Smells delicious too..."

"Erebos. No mortal casualties. We are only here for Danica." The other god disappeared in a puff of smoke before reappearing behind Danica. Kicking Danica in the back of the knee, Danica gasped, before the frenzy broke out. Throwing a punch at the woman behind her, she heard the drawing of a blade and rolled out of the way in time to keep from getting chopped in half. Kicking the woman across the theater, Danica then turned to punch Erebos as he recovered from his hack. Punching him proved to be painful.

"I think she can feel it already, Eris." He grinned, the hit having not phased him. "Do you feel it, Danica? Your power leaving you."

"Kara, run." Danica said, not sure why her might was failing her. But Kara shouldn't get involved with them. Erebos launched at her again, the other goddess detangling herself from the seats of the theater as Danica and her older brother faced off. Dancia was doing well in deflecting blows, but she felt sluggish compared to Erebos, who was using his god like strength and speed.

Across Metropolis, Diana and Clark discovered a disturbing fact.

"We should go warn them." Diana told him, standing up to go find her daughter about her powers disappearing for the day. "She's been here for too long, we need to tell her before something happens..."

"'Kay."

Pulling open the blanket, Chrissy slid in next to her girlfriend. Snuggling up to her, she held her as she nuzzled the younger girl's neck. She would do all she could to get this day back on track. With the movie starting, she sat there and hoped the movie would put Stephanie in a better mood.

So much happened so fast that Kara was left gaping. Shaking uncontrollably, she was having another panic attack. Danica wasn't going to be okay this time though. She could see that her girlfriend wasn't herself.

Instinct and combat reflexes took over, and she jumped into the fray. Delivering fast blows at the man, it was a cover for her kick to his hand holding the sword. Kicking it out of his grasp, with superspeed she snatched it out of the air, firing laser beams from her eyes at his eyes as she stabbed the sword at his closest leg.

"I am sure they will be fine. Kara is with her," Clark brushed off Diana's worries. "Go peek in on them if you want, I have...uh...laundry...to go do."

Stephanie felt Chrissy snuggle up to her, and nuzzle her neck, but she pointedly ignored it. If Chrissy had stayed with her, then she wouldn't have gotten hurt like that!

Focusing on the movie, once the action started to pick up she forgot all about her booboo.

Danica couldn't see Kara over her blocking and deflecting of blows. Her strength was failing her, so this was her last resort. Feeling something crack at her back, she tensed as a whip tore through her shirt and cut her.

Erebos hadn't expected what he had thought was a mortal to attack. Crying out loudly as the lasers hit his eyes, he was lucky he was a god! Not lucky enough, because Kara soon had a sword in his leg! Striking Kara, he knocked her off enough to pull his sword out of his leg.

Danica turned around and took the plastic arm rest off a seat as she used it to stop another crack of the whip. It only lasted so long, Eris pulled it away and snapped the whip on her leg and side, leaving deep gashes. Danica stumbled back, barely missing a full blow by the whip as it skimmed her cheek, drawing blood. There were tiny blades weaved into the rope of the whip.

Diana looked at Clark. Laundry? His mother did that for him...

Shrugging it off, she stretched and went out to the porch. Flying up into the air, she headed for the movie theater. Something felt wrong.

Knocked backwards, luckily Kara could fly. Stopping her flying back, she transferred that momentum into a dive bomb attack against the man pulling the sword out of his leg. With her strength, it caused the floor to crater and splinter from the impact, but she didn't waste any time. Grabbing the man she flung him at the whip wielding woman.

"Danica!"

Rushing to her lover, she grabbed her and flew to the emergency exit. Knocking it right off it's hinges, she flew them out and away. Danica couldn't blame her for this!

Eris cried out as she fell with Erebos on top of her. Seats broke, and they were tangled in them as they struggled to get up!

Danica felt weak as Kara grabbed her, somewhat limp in the blonde's arms. "I don't understand..." she groaned, feeling faint. What was wrong with her?! Passing out, Danica was bleeding quite a bit.

Diana arrived at the theater, only to find one of the theaters closed with police and staff looking puzzled. Getting in, she saw what was left after a fight. "No."

Running out, she headed home next, hoping the girls were okay.

Not caring about their attackers, Kara was freaking out even more. She wasn't used to seeing Danica bleed. There had been that one time with the sword wound...but beyond that...

"Hang on."

Forgetting about her lack of underwear, she flew them to the Justice League tower. Danica needed medical treatment! Turning them over to the doctors there, she was left to stew in the lounge for news.

Diana received a call from the league, alerting her to Danica being there, Clark received a similar call about Kara's presence. Rushing to the tower, Wonder Woman was going straight to the medical ward, leaving Zantana saying hi to herself.

"Kara!" She called, pushing past Vixe. And John as she went for the blonde. "What happened?" She asked, looking like a worried mother.

Sitting in the chair, shaking uncontrollably, it was all settling upon her. The attack, what she had done, seeing Chrissy, being out in public again...it just wasn't safe to leave home. Not safe at all.

"Ah!" she gasped, startled as a voice interrupted her thoughts. "A man...and woman...attacked..."

That was all she could recall. She had never seen them before, and they didn't seem interested in her, just Danica. Averting her eyes, she tried to retreat into her own world.

Kara was not being as helpful as she wanted her to be. Nodding, she didnt push the girl more than need be. Going to the door, she knocked and was greeted by J'onn, the Martian Manhunter.

It was almost an hour before Danica emerged. She had a bandaid on her cheek. "I hear it is customary for a patient to recieve a sugary treat upon the completion of their visit." The green martian spoke to Danica, handing her a cherry lollipop. "You are released and may return home. Diana, a word with you after you are done?"

Wonder Woman nodded, guiding Danica to Kara. "Thank you for saving my daughter's life." She began, looking at the blonde. "Her powers have left her for this day, she has remained here for longer than she is used too...those who remain here for extended lose their powers for a day."

Danica looked down at her feet for a moment, wanting Kara to be okay. "Lets go home. I cannot be out, according to my mother. Not until my powers have returned...
" danica sighed, hating being weak.

Curled up in her chair, Kara rocked back and forth, oblivious to the world. She didn't notice the talking or Danica's return. Danica would have died if she had left...and she almost had left. The thank you for saving Danica only made Kara burst into tears.

Some protector she was.

Reaching her left hand out, she took Danica's hand in a weak grip. Her hand was cold and shaking. Her lover's birthday was ruined.

"I'm sorry."
