Danica had gotten used to having someone in her bed at all times now. Eyes closed, she held Kara close, the blonde's head tucked under her chin so that her beautiful space goddess had the song of her heart to find comfort in and sleep. With her arms wrapped firmly around the other girl's waist, she kept the pillows around them in a perfect set up so that they felt secured. This was one of the night Danica slept, though she had made it a habit to lay with Kara every night with eyes closed to meditate and be with her lover.

Today was a special day. Wonder Woman had conversed privately with Kara the night before when Danica had gone out to 'run an errand' for her mother. Wonder Woman had revealed that today was Danica's birthday. While Diana had wanted to spend the day with her daughter alone, she also knew that Danica was not willing to spend the day without Kara. Asking Kara to spend the day with her daughter, the older heroine had humbled herself and hoped that the blonde would honour her request. The day after, Diana would take them both out on the town as another gift to Danica.

Now, Danica didn't know about this. Nor did she know about Kara's plans. The dark haired goddess only knew one thing that morning. That Kara was in her arms, and that was all she could ask for.

Stephanie had been going to school and living with Chrissy for the past month. Waking up on Saturday mornings was currently one of the best things in life!

Rolling over onto her side, she snuggled back into Chrissy, enjoying the feeling of the older girl draped around her. Closing her eyes, Stephanie waited for her older counter part to wake up. Today was the first day they were going out to patrol...well, tonight.She didn't know what time Chrissy was planning on!

The facility reacted. Blast doors closed and more robots were released. Gel that hardened into a substance harder then metal began to spray from nozzles all along the halls whenever Diana drew near. It was meant to stop and freeze escapees in place. The artificial gravity turned off, which didn't bother the robots at all.

New robots began to appear...a overwhelming sea of miniature robots no bigger then a fingernail that packed poisons and electrical shocks. As a last resort, they began pumping out the air until the escapees passed out from lack of oxygen.

Diana had no problem with the lack of gravity. Her flight maintained their balance enough. Realizing the lack of air in the atmosphere, she knew she had to push faster. Which was what she did. Knowing she was one door away from her jet, she was careful not to fly too close to the walls or to close to the miniature robots.

Covering Chirssy with her body as best as she could, the amazon barreled through the door that led to the dock where she had left her jet. Boarding quickly, the jet jumped to life, modfied for space travel. Oxygen flooded the chamber for breathing air. Forcefield jumped to life, deflecting robot fire.

Setting Chrissy on the long bench, Diana got into the piolot's seat, blasting through the hull of the dock. In a matter of nano seconds, they were zooming out of the prison facility.

The automated turrets on the surface of the moon began to fire upon the fleeing jet. Even if they couldn't see it, they used targeting algorithms to be able to lay down the most area covering field of fire plssible. Robotic hunter seeker drones launched from the facility, flying after the jet and tracking it by the space dust that it disturbed. The drones opened fire once they were close enough.

"Hey, Wonder Woman. I think you pissed them off." Came Hal Jordan's voice over the intercom of the invisible jet. Hitting what she could with her own lasers, Diana never came unprepared. Once they were out of firing range for the turrets on the moon, she had requested the aid of the Green Lantern Corps to help deal with anything that might follow.

Drones were being blasted left and right by the 25 or more green lanterns in space, flashing green lights and the red of Diana's lasers joining the explosions.

"Luthor never knows when to give up," came John's deeper voice as he took out another drone. "Gardner! Behind you!"

Diana blasted the drone headed for Guy, only to have the vain lantern wink at her. "Thanks, Sugar."

She could kick his ass later...

"Take her down, Diana. Clean up wont be a problem now. John, over and out."

"Thank you." Wonder Woman said sincerely.

Warnings had already been sent out to down below. Word of the escape had spread...how Wonder Woman had broken out of prison the dangerous psychopath, Christina Wayne. Wonder Woman was branded a criminal, and denounced by the world governments. The world governments then turned on the Justice League, questioning their devotion to justice and threatening their arrests if the two fugitives from justice weren't captured and returned to prison.

The governor went on TV, his injured son beside him. They made a heartfelt speech to the world, then the governor offered a 2 million dollar reward for the capture or death of the two fugitives. The media went wild, slandering Wonder Woman now too as every fortune hunter, mercenary, ex-cop, and bounty hunter geared up and went hunting.

Diana took a detour actually. Her original plan had been to go home, make the girl as comfortable as possible at her house. But, Themyscira was a safer option. No one could reach them there.

From there, she had her room set up, set Chrissy on the bed and had food and juice brought in. Changing out of her uniform, she now had to contact her daughter. Explaining the situation to her, she could already see the anger brewing in her daughter's eyes. She was going to have to wait for Chrissy to wake up.

"Find her, keep her safe." Diana told her daughter, already seeing the uncertainty in Danica's face.

Danica glared at the mirror she was using to communicate with her mother, by the means of magic, which now had no visage of Wonder Woman.

Diana heard Chrissy groan. Going to the girl, she held a small cup to her lips.

"Drink. This will ease your tense muscles and relieve the soreness." She told her, helping her up a little. She did have explaining to do.

Turning on the TV, Danica flipped to a channel thay was playing the news. It was Wonder Woman who was the main story. Fuming silently, she waited for Kara's return to tell her about the mission she was given.

Would Kara help?

Stephanie sat, gaping at the TV in front of her.

"What the hell?!"

Refusing to drink, Chrissy swatted the cup away. Like she was going to trust Wonder Woman now. Closing her eyes, she couldn't stop grimacing from the pain.

Kara came wandering in, looking depressed as usual. She still hadn't been able to find anything that would be a worthy gift for Danica. Going to the kitchen, she opened the freezer and took out a bag of frozen peas. Bringing off chunks, she began to eat the frozen peas.

Black Canary stood up, gazing evenly at Superman. He better have a damn good reason for wanting to bring in two of their own.

With the cup swatted away, she let it be. Getting up from the bed, she walked across the room and to the balconey. That was where she stayed for now. Until Chrissy felt like moving or something other than grimacing in pain.

Danica turned to look at Kara. Kara looked just as depressed as ever. Getting up, she left the room, leaving the TV on. Instead, she went to the cabinent that held her weapons...

Grabbing the lock, it burned her hand with the magic that held it shut, but Danica didnt care. Bearing the pain, she crushed the lock and pulled the doors open, reaching in and grabbing her large shield and a smaller sword, that she strapped to her leg. Dropping the lock on the floor, it made a loud noise.

Walking through the kitchen again, she passed Kara. "Im going out." She said simply

"If anyone else gets to them first, they will try to kill them and they shall have to defend themselves. It shall only make them look worse then they already do," Superman explained. "Also, if we don't bring them in...then the world shall be turned against us. Do you really want to fight the world we swore to protect?"

The dark haired Kryptonian stares back at Black Canary just as evenly.

Like Chrissy was up to moving or doing anything else! Wonder Woman had f'ed her up.

Eating frozen vegetables was soothing...and less fattening then ice cream. If she got fat, then Danica would leave her for sure. Noticing movement, she saw Danica.

"I'm ba-" she began but her girlfriend got up and left the room.

Shoulders sagging, she was dejected. But Danica came back, only to say that she was leaving.

"O...kay," she answered softly.

She didn't blame Danica for not wanting to be around her. She never even gave her a birthday present. As a girlfriend and a superhero she was a big fat failure. Taking a seat at the table, she placed her arms on the table and buried her face in them.

"And when things look bad on your end, you get to run and hide in space?" Black Canary countered. Superman always went to the fortress of solitude when something got bad for him, only to come back months later to fix his mistake. "No. Wonder Woman can keep her own and keep the Wayne girl safe while we get to bottom of Luthor's plans."

The Flash tilted his head slightly, nodding. "I agree with the bird." He nodded, looking over at Superman. "I'm pretty sure Wonder Woman has Christina somewhere safe. We need to focus on what Lex and his people are doing, it's been almost four days and no action from us."

"Here, here." Green Arrow stood, keeping a jump drive in his hand. "I was sent a copy of sufficient evidence as well, I took a peek at it."

At this rate, Chrissy won't be up for close to a day without that muscle relaxer! Wonder Woman would get antsy without hearing from her daughter, Danica needed to hurry!

Danica hadn't known Kara was going to speak. She was lost in a world of anger, and now, just a little violence. Breaking into the room Stephanie was holed up in, watching the news, she grabbed the girl, happy to not use force before flying her off towards her house once more.

Kara wouldn't like it, but it was a direct order from her mother. If Kara was paying attention to the news, the blonde would have realized what was going on already.

Returning home, Stephanie was dropped off in another room, and Danica was soon going downstairs. Placing her armor, which she had grabbed from her own closet, on the table, her sword and shield joined, making a clattering noise on the table Kara was burring her face at.

Superman frowned, not impressed by the catty remark. It was ironic...a catty remark coming from the Black Canary. Shaking his head, they didn't understand Lex Luthor like he did.

"He already made his move. The Wayne girl was the trap...and Wonder Woman fell for it. She broke the law in freeing the girl, now the world is turning against us. If we fight this it will only get worse. Evidence won't matter now...Wonder Woman committed a real crime. I have to bring her in."

Kara finally raised her head. Not because Danica had returned, but because she heard something familiar. Something she hated. Her eyes turning red, she was gone in an instant. Through the house she went until she found the blonde. She didn't waste any words, she just attacked Stephanie...intent on killing her.

"It seems we are always fighting against the inhabitants of Earth," came the calming voice of the Martian Man Hunter. Standing, he was only there to make sure that no one came to blows. Super Heroes, super emotions and ideas.

Looking around, as J'ohnn already knew their identities and only the trio knew who each other were, and select heroes who had found a partner knew the partner's identities, he felt he had somewhat of a better handle on the situation. He did not use his mind reading on any of them, but he felt he had a good judge of character.

"I am certain we can figure something out without having to bring in our friends. The world's greatest minds are here, gathered. Batman, do you wish to share?" He knew Wonder Woman went to save his daughter.

Luckily for Stephanie, Danica reacted just as fast. Zooming after Kara, she grabbed the blonde and slammed her into a wall. It was in the same room as Stephanie, as Danica had a late start, but she made it anyway. With her own body pressing against Kara, she held her, face to face.

"No! Kara. This is my mission. You're supposed to be helping me be better at this, remember?" She growled, breathing hard. She could see the hatered in her girlfriend's eyes, but she wasn't going to let Kara bosch up the order her mother gave her.

"My Mother told me to watch her, I am going to."

Superman let the other hero speak. He was right...they did seem to always be at odds with the inhabitants of Earth. But if they continued down this path the others wanted to go on, they would be at war with the inhabitants of Earth.

"Wonder Woman is a fuck up. You don't have to worry about bounty hunters killing her...I am going to. I nearly had a deal worked out to get my daughter out of this mess. Wonder Woman was only supposed to go talk to her..." Batman said, the angriest one in the room. "You better hope you find them first, Superman."

Batman then left the room, leaving Superman looking worried.

Thrown against the wall, it cracked and buckled but held. Phased for only a moment, she grabbed Danica and threw her off of her and right at the far wall. Leaping at Stephanie, her red eyes glowed brighter right before the laser beams shot forth from them...

The heroes stared at Batman as he walked off. No one said anything, though Vixen was glaring something mighty at the Bat's back.

Like the planet they swore to protect, they were a team divided. If Superman was going to do something, he would have to act on his own or find the few who would join him.

Thrown towards the far wall, Danica grimaced as she hit it.

Seeing Danica thrown off to the side, Stephanie gasped, rolling out of the way in time. Running to Danica, she was behind the other girl in no time, Danica bracing herself for Kara.

"Stop!" Danica shouted again. She could feel some of her control slip.

Superman had no time to waste on gathering a team. He could handle Diana alone...he had before. What was important was getting to her before anyone else did. Lives could be lost...

Knowing exactly where Diana would go to hide, Superman left like a speeding bullet. Flying towards the island, he hoped he would be the first to get there.

Hope wasn't with Superman this day. Batman was just a distraction. The gathered might of Batman Inc led by his wife, Barbara Gordon, was already converging on the island of the Amazons. Magic couldn't protect them nor hide them from the high tech arsenal at the Bat family's disposal. Somehwere in the city, Stephanie's communicator was still beeping...warning her of the rendezous she had been supposed to be at to meet Batman for the assault.

Their jets landing, the many Bats and their allies fanned out along with robotic assault droids of Wayne Enterprises manufacture.

Kara didn't stop. There was no Chrissy here to stop her this time. Leaping at Danica, she ignored the Amazon in favor of trying to reach Stephanie behind her. Any part of the blonde that she could get a hold of she was going to crush. Screaming obscenities and that she was going to kill Stephanie, it was as if she was possessed.

Coming into the room again, she stood by Chrissy's bed side. "You do not thirst for anything?" She asked, wanting to make the girl comfortable. Knowing that Chrissy was probably in pain, due to the nerve pinch, she simply wanted to help in this matter.

Danica was focusing on fighting Kara off, keeping her hands away from the girl behind her. But when she felt she could no longer hold on to her own control. Kara's crazed fury to destroy the blonde behind her was putting off waves of energy she felt powerless to keep out.

"Athena!" She cried out, pushing Kara back enough to give her one moment to breathe. Calling the name once more, the goddess finally appeared, and made a move towards Kara. But Danica stopped her.

"This one, the mortal. Take her. To my mother!" She requested instead, fighting off Kara for as long as she could, which was until Athena seized Stephanie, who tried to evade the hold and disappeared.

With them gone, Danica was suddenly on the other side of the room, hand against the wall as she breathed heavily, eyes closed tightly.

Diana gasped as Athena and Stephanie appeared in her room, taking a step back.

"By request of your daughter." Athena told her, looking at the mortal blonde with dislike. She did not like her...

Stephanie's gaze fell on Chrissy instead, her mind changed in the span of seconds. "Chris!"

On the bed, she reached for her girlfriend, kissing her lips. "You're okay!"

Once the object of her rage vanished, Kara's rage began to ebb. Left tired and confused, she huddled ina corner, dazed. At least there were no gods appearing to attack them this time.

Wanting to only suffer in her pain alone, Chrissy ignored Wonder Woman. Causing this pain was no way to help someone. Not paying attention at all, the kiss came from nowhere. It elicited great pain, as if her lips were being torn off. Crying out in pain, she couldn't move her body. It was still stiff and sore.

Outside, the real Batgirl heard her daughter's cry of pain. Flanked by Batwoman and Catwoman, she began to run towards the source of the anguished cry. The others began to attack the Amazon village...

Danica couldnt comfort Kara for the time being. Kara and her desire for blood and violence against Stephanie had greatly affected her. It had not been the kind of villians and robots but of actual hatred and rage. Danca hadnt tasted that in a long time...

Stephanie pulled away immediately, looking shocked and confused. What was wrong?!

"Chrissy?"

Diana frowned. Her ears detected the sound of battle. Athena disappeared, as this was not of her business, but a quick shout to protect the Princess Diana was heard, and that put Wonder Woman on edge.

The Amazons were faster and stronger, but the Bat family was mor cunning. Getting the Amazons to group up, they dropped cryo grenades amongst them and froze them solid. They would thaw out...eventually.

Bursting into the tent, her red hair bouncing behind her from where it stuck out the back of her cowl, Batgirl found her daughter laying in agony as Wonder Woman and the Cluemaster's daughter looked on.

"You...and you!" Barbara shouted sharply, looking between Wonder Woman and Stephanie. "Out of this tent, now!"

Steph looked dazed. What the fuck was going on?

Diana was not going to argue with the woman. She was Chrissy's mother after all. Leaving the room, Diana found her fellow amazons frozen. Stupid cryo grenades. Smashing the block, she shattered it, telling them they should convene in the courtyard. Diana herself went to sit on the cliffs at the beach.

Stephanie stepped outside. Why was there all the hats here?

Batman arrived finally in his Batwing fighter. He had wasted precious time searching for Stephanie, his daughter's friend. Emerging to find everything handled, he walked to the tent where his daughter was being bundled up for medevac back to Gotham. His dark gaze turned upon Stephanie.

"You. You never answered your comm," Batman spoke to Stephanie accusingly.

Arriving last, Superman landed in the courtyard soaking wet. It looked as if he had been swimming, not flying. Searching for Diana, he flew up to the cliff where she sat.

"I am here to bring you in, Diana. You have put everyone at risk."

Stephanie looked up at the man, frowning. "I was taken from the place where I was crashing at. Then I was brought here," she explained, knowing it wasnt going to make a difference.

Looking down, she shook her head.

Diana gazed at all the Bats in her gardens of paradise, only to hear the voice of the one she did not want to see. Standing up, Diana wasnt one to act on her passions. That was something she was trying to teach her daughter...but today. Today was a day of firsts.

"I do not even know how you can show your face to me."

Batman stared with disapproval down at Stephanie. She never amounted to anything in his eyes. Stephanie Brown wasn't even a part of the Batman Inc. As far as he was concerned.

"Go get in one of the jets," was all he said.

Then he left, without checking on his wife or daughter. Chrissy was being loaded onto the cargo area of the largest jet, Barbara by her side. Mother wasn't going to let daughter out of her sight for quite some time...

Superman shook his head, causing water to spray everywhere. He didn't get what Wonder Woman meant.

"I had trouble getting here, is all. Though I thought I had found the island a few times, I ended up landing in the ocean. But I made it. Now come with me so this can be resolved peacefully."
